  4. Sangat jee, on my last visit to Punjab, I noticed so many dargahs and tiny shrines dedicated to different muslim peers, most popularly Baba Lakh Data. I also noticed and heard that in most pinds they have at least one dargah dedicated to a peer. How come there is so much sufi influence in Punjab? Did anyone else notice this?
  5. SSA I’ve seen on you tube a growing trend of individuals creating videos to promote themselves. Namely a so called mystic called Kala kala. He has a you tube channel, tic tik, etc. I understand that before changing his path he owned glassy junction, a pub in Southall back in the 90s and 2000s maybe earlier. He wears colourful turbans and colours, wears lights, costumes etc. I’ve heard rumours that whilst in business he failed to pay UK tax and the government are after him. As a means of getting out of it he is playing dumb to avoid it. He is acting as if he’s lost it mentally and physically. He eats meat and drinks. Is this all a cover up so he can claim insanity and avoid paying tax? Anyone?

  10. I listened to a sakhi yesterday where Guru Arjan Dev Ji was married but did not yet have any children. Mata Ganga was asked to go to seek the blessings of Baba Buddha Ji. Thereafter, she was blessed with a child who became Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. First Question: why did Guru Ji not bless his wife himself? Why did he direct his wife elsewhere? Second Question: I've read about similar situations where someone will seek the blessing of Guru Ji but he directs them elsewhere. Why?
  11. PANCHKULA, Haryana—In a major blow to the Sirsa cult, the CBI Court of Panchkula, headed by Justice Jagdeep Singh, has held that Gurmeet Ram Rahim is guilty of raping two of his female disciples. He has been taken into custody by police and is being transferred to the central Jail of Ambala. Sentencing will be delivered by the CBI Court on August 28, after adjudication. http://www.sikh24.com/2017/08/25/guilty-gurmeet-ram-rahim-verdict-confirmed-sentencing-in-three-days/ An eye-witnesses present in the Court told Sikh24 that Gurmeet Ram Rahim was appearing quite clearly depressed and he looked shaken when the Court delivered it’s verdict. (How the mighty fall) His followers started riots after the guilty verdict: Curfew in 10 cities of Punjab Over 30 dead and more than 200 injured. Military prescience in Punjab extended by 60 days An increase military presence of a 150 Companies requested by Punjab Two railways stations set alight CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Riotous behavior and violence by Sirsa cult disciples in Punjab and Haryana has stepped up which has caused the Punjab & Haryana High Court to issue a seizure order of the Sirsa cult’s entire property. The High Court has said that the expenditure of all the demolition caused by Sirsa cult disciples will be compensated by the selling of Ram Rahim’s property. Over 25 people have been killed so far by the violent mobs, and over a hundred people have been injured. Public property and vehicles are being targeted by the mobs. Curfew has been imposed in Bathinda, Mansa, Barnala and Ferozepur. Mobile internet has been suspended for the next few days. Meanwhile, numerous incidents of violence at petrol pumps, telephone exchanges, and public vehicles have been targeted by the violent mobs. http://www.sikh24.com/2017/08/25/breaking-punjab-update/ My comments: I have posted elsewhere that we Sikhs do not have the right to shut down the Sirsa followers' non-violent meetings. These, however, are not non-violent meetings. They are violent riots. We (and everyone) have the right to use violence to protect life and property. (Note: I'm not talking about the legal right in countries like the UK where if you injure a burglar, the police will come to arrest you, not the burglar. I'm talking about moral right.) Youtube, Facebook, and other media show Panchkula (bordering to Chandigarh) on fire. BTW: A question- Are live-fire bullets only reserved for Sikhs? The Sikhs were just sitting in an intersection in relation to Bargari beadbi incidents of Guru Granth Sahib. It's illegal to block an intersection, I get it. But it's not in and of itself a violent act. Rioting is a violent act. And you can see that the police were fleeing from the Sirsa followers, not advancing, not caning them, and certainly not firing with live bullets. (If I am mistaken, please correct me.) In any case, even if the police did live-fire, what's the equality between live-firing on a non-violent sit-in, and live-firing on a riot? Secondly, it's good that Sikhs remained generally aloof from this process. That's what I've been saying for a long time: Just let the government machinery work, why do we have to insert ourselves into everything? Because we remained aloof, the Sirsa followers are burning telephone exchanges, railway stations, buses, but, so far, not Gurdwaras. Thirdly, someone posted on Facebook a plea to our more naive brothers not to and set up a langar for the 100,000 dera premis camping in Panchkula. People laughed, but it came true when word (rumor?) came that dera premis ate in the langar at Nadha Sahib Gurdwara in Panchkula (a large historical gurdwara of Guru Gobind Singh ji's). A handful of people were upset at this idea, but the vast majority of Sikhs on Facebook said langars are open for everybody, even our enemies. In light of the violent response of the dera premis, is it a good idea to fuel the rage of the dera premis? Since, it's hard to go on a violent rampage if you're hungry for the past 3 days. Comments?

  14. The Dera culture is sweeping through punjab. gathering converts from the main religions.Their success can not be denied. What is their pulling power attraction.I beleive they serve a bigger function than a few wise words from a charamatic baba leader. In a failed state like punjab, where social and economic problems are so intense.Theses DERAs offer a walk in one stop family crisis campus. They help the people in their hour of need. They are a mini welfare state for the people. Sikhs have to learn from this, and start their own sikh deras .An campus for sikhi learning, health free food, counselling, voluntary work and many more needs

  20. 08 Dec: Domegaon is a village in the outlying Shrirampur Tehsil of Ahmednagar District in Maharashtra located on the banks of River Godavari, 80 Kms from Ahmednagar, 22 Kms from Shrirampur and 7 Kms from hokar on the Shrirampur- Aurangabad road. It is equidistant from Nashik, Aurangabad and Manmad – some 100 Kms, or 2-1/2 hours journey by bus. Belapur Railway Station is the nearest railway link, about one kilometer from Shrirampur Bus Stand, while Pune Lohegaon Airport, about 110 km from Ahmednagar, is the nearest air link. I would not have dreamt of going to this obscure village even before 21 June 1994, but for my colleague, Capt. Hardev Singh’s insistence. He appeared excited. We did not have much information about the place except a hearsay report: “The villagers of Domegaon and neighborhood have total faith in Guru Granth Sahib. Whenever river Godavari got flooded they took out the holy Granth and touch the water, which then receded without causing any damage to the village. This has been the practice for the last 165 years, ever since an old saint meditated with this volume of the holy Granth.” On checking at Ahmednagar bus stand, we came to know that it takes two hours by bus to Shrirampur from where a local bus goes to Domegaon. Going along the road marked by Neem and Keekar trees, through lush vegetation and ripening sugarcane fields, we reached Shrirampur at 11 A.M. With a view to gathering more details of the place and the route, we approached the first available residents. They took us on two scooters to Veena Saree Centre, owned by Khem Singh Batra, President, Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, Domegaon. We were told that the keys of the Gurdwara at Domegaon were with the Sewadar (caretaker) Gurcharan Singh Saluja, who had gone for collection of stores and was due to return shortly. As we waited for the Sewadar, we were briefed by Prithipal Singh regarding the place: “More than 165 years ago, an old hand-written copy of Guru Granth Sahib came to be preserved in Domegaon. Sikhs in Shrirampur came to know of it only about 50 years ago through a Bijnori Sikh, Bedekar, who used to frequent these villages for business. The construction of the Gurdwara was initiated by one Mr. Ahuja, a factory manager at Ganeshpur Sugar Mills, with the efforts of the Sikh Sangat of the surrounding areas under the supervision of Baba Harnam Singh of Gurdwara Langar Sahib, Nanded. “The Sewadar stays at Shrirampur because there is no Sikh family in Domegaon but he goes to Domegaon daily and the keys of the Gurdwara remain with him. He collects the construction material and the materials for performing rituals at the Gurdwara. We were told that the Akhand Paath (continuous recitation of Guru Granth Sahib) is performed every year on Guru Nanak’s birthday i.e., on Kartik Poornima. The Sangat of Shrirampur visits Domegaon on every Pooranmashi (full moon night). “The villagers of the area take out a procession around the village with the holy man of the village carrying Guru Granth Sahib on his head on occasions like Holi and Diwali. They celebrate all festivals in the compound of the Gurdwara after prayers to Guru Granth Sahib, for which they have a deep devotion. A special congregation is also arranged in the first week of January every year. We tried to bring the holy volume to Shrirampur as we felt that there was no Sewadar. But the villagers refused to part with it stating that it was their Dev (Chief Deity), which could not be taken away from Domegaon. If their Dev is taken away, they will surely be destroyed by floods. Such was the unflinching faith of the locals in the Holy Guru Granth Sahib” Meanwhile, the Sewadar arrived. We hired an auto-rickshaw to proceed to Domegaon. En route, we halted at Shrirampur Gurdwara, a magnificent construction. There we met Trilok Singh Sethi, a respected and prosperous businessman of the area and Special (honorary) Executive Magistrate. He offered to send his car to Domegaon, which we could not refuse as he wanted the car to be blessed by Baba Birdh Sahib of Domegaon. The Sikh saint, who originally brought the holy Guru Granth Sahib and meditated on the banks of river Godavari at Domegaon, is known as Birdh Baba Sahib, meaning the ‘respectable old man’. Our 15 km journey along Nashik-Shrirampur-Aurangabad road was comfortable. At village Bhokar, we found the road turning to Birdh Baba Domegaon (Kamalpur). At Domegaon, we stopped alongside river Godavari, close to the bridge in front of the imposing building of Gurdwara Birdh Baba. Just adjoining to it stands a Krishna temple, a mosque, a Buddhist Gompa and a Hanuman temple. Domegaon is a beautiful village with pictureseque landscape and the surroundings surcharged with spiritual vibrations. A marble stone on the Gurdwara wall had the following inscription: “The construction of Gurdwara Sri Birdh Baba, Domegaon was started at the hands of a Nanded saint on 25 May 1968. About 150 years ago, a Sikh saint of Punjab, who had a hand-written copied version of Guru Granth Sahib established it in this place in a thatched hut, which has now been converted into a Gurdwara. The village is situated on the banks of Godavari, which often got flooded since the times of the Birdh Baba. Guru Granth Sahib was worshipped and taken on the head to Godavari and prayers were offered to Ganga Mai (Godavari) for receding of floods. The local people have full faith in Guru Granth Sahib and Birdh Baba and they have seen with their eyes that with the prayer, flood recedes and the village is saved from losses. This tradition continues till date. This year, when the floods came on 6 August, 1968, the village people repeated the same thing and there was no damage to the village from flood waters.” We washed our faces, hands and feet and the Sewadar brought the old volume (Beerh) of Guru Granth Sahib from its resting place to the main hall. After prayers, we were allowed to study it. Its size is more than double than that of the normal printed Beerh. It contains 1006 pages. It was apparent that it was written long back. It starts with a list of contents preceded with the dates of its writing as Mash Sudi 5, Samvat 1901 (1844 A.D.). The list of contents has three parts. The first list contains the names of all the verses (Baanis). The second is the list of all ragas. The third is the list of the first line of all the Shabads (hymns) in the Beerh. A few pages are also given for the contents. The Baanis included are: Nisan Guruji Jap(u) (p.1), Sodar – five Shabads (p.6), So Purkh – four Shabads (p.7), Sohila/Aarti – five Shabads (p.8), Raag Majh (p.64), Gauri (p.105), Aasa (p.239), Gujri, Devgandhari and other Ragas; Sloka Sahaskriti, Gatha, Funhe, Choubole, Sloka Kabir Ji ke, Sloka Farid Ji ke, Swaeeye Kalaur, Bhatton-ke-sloka, Waran-te-Wadheek Sloka, tatha-Gost-Mlaar Naal Hoi, Ratan-mala, Hakikat Raje-Sivnabh-ki, Raagmala, besides method of preparing ink and Chalittar-Jyoti-Jyot Samawne ke, being the record of merging with the Divine Light of the first nine Gurus, but it has no record of Guru Gobind Singh in the list. It may be that this Beerh was started during the time of Guru Gobind Singh. Writing is in black ink. Pages 1 to 20 are much older than the remaining pages. The sequence of Raag/Shabad/Sloka after Slokas of Guru Teg Bahadar is not as per Kartarpuri Beerh or Beerh Bhai Banno. One Sloka is attributed to Mahila 10 (Guru Gobind Singh) in this Beerh, similar to the golden lettered Beerh at Burhanpur. Some pages have come out of the binding and a few are becoming brittle. The holy hand written volume needs urgent care and scientific archival preservation. Though some amount was sent through ‘Sikh Review’ by a non-resident Sikh from the United States for preservation but it never was so utilized. After having the Darshan and a brief perusal of Guru Granth Sahib, I contacted the local people and interviewed a few of the villagers to know their views and details about the Birdh Baba and the hand-written volume. Those interviewed include Baba Sahib Thorat, B.A. B.Ed., aged 24; Uttam Dasang, aged 30 and Mahatama Swaimbhu Chhedam, aged 82, the head priest of the adjoining Sri Krishna Chakradhar Temple. I was unable to contact Sri Birendra Baba Murkute, who has been looking after Guru Granth Sahib before it was handed over to the Sikh clergy to take the Beerh ceremoniously to River Godavari in the event of flood. I was informed by the local villagers that there was no Sikh in the area nor was there any copy of Guru Granth Sahib with anybody. The Baba wrote the entire Gurbani with his inner spiritual power. It is surprising to know where from did the Birdh Baba gather the paper, ink and pen in that secluded village almost 17 decades ago. Both Baba Sahib Thorat and Uttam Dasang confirmed the age old tradition of taking Guru Granth Sahib to river Godavari and of floods receding. They stated that Guru Granth Sahib is their Dev, which they cannot part with. If they part with it, their village will surely be destroyed by the floods. They also showed me the boulder in the river, where the Birdh Baba had meditated for 12 years. Baba Sahib Thorat stated, Whatever the Baba collected for food, he gave one-third to cows, one-third to Godavari and ate the remaining one-third.” A story was narrated to me how the Baba would “speak to the river”, which in turn, would reply back and give the Baba water. Once a person quietly went to hear as to what the Baba spoke, the river remained silent, where-upon the Baba cursed the hidden person, who died within a week and his entire family perished within a month. Birdh Baba did penance for this act of his anger by continuous meditation. He never lost his temper against anyone after this event. The destructed uninhabited house of this person still remains in Domegaon. After this incident, the Baba shifted to a small wooden house, where he would meet the devotees in the mornings and evenings and gave sermons of Naam Simran. None in the village knew Gurmukhi script but the holy Granth Sahib and Birdh Baba attracted a number of followers. However, whenever the Godavari was in flood, the Birdh Baba took the Beerh to the water and touched it. The water receded thereafter. After the demise of the Birdh Baba, the holy Granth Sahib was kept in a Jhoola (swing). Once, the fury of the flood mounted and the water entered the village. The moment water reached the Jhoola, cradling the holy volume, it rapidly receded. Thereafter, whenever the Godavari got flooded, Baba Murkute took Guru Granth Sahib on his head and touched the water sending it back to the mainstream. This occurred right up to 1968, when it was decided to build the Gurdwara at the same place where the Baba used to live in the wooden house. The present Gurdwara, thus, came into being. Since then, the river has not been in spate near the village. The people said the younger generation could not describe Baba Ji as none had seen him. However, the Mahant of Shri Krishna Chakradhar Temple shed more light on this. Aged 82, the Mahant first described the importance of the ancient temple associated with Shri Krishna Chakradhar, a saint, who stayed in Domegaon for 10 months. A Pandit of Salargaon, Mahim Bhatt composed verses in honor of Saint Chakradhar, which are considered as one of the sources of Marathi language. Describing Birdh Baba, he said, “Birdh Baba had died somewhere in late nineteenth century, much before him. Nobody knows the exact date of the Baba’s demise. He had heard from a saint, who had known that the Birdh Baba was a great Udasi saint, who had made a copy of Guru Granth Sahib while he lived with a Raja. When he became an Udasi, he came to Domegaon and started meditation near this temple. He had this copy of Guru Granth Sahib with him at that time. He was given a hut close to the temple, where he later died. Even during this time, the village folks used to take out a procession of Guru Granth Sahib on Falgun Ekadashi, a tradition they still maintain.” Telling about the people, he said, “The village has Chakradhar Temple, Hanuman Temple, Ganpati Temple, a Mosque and the Gurdwara; all around the same complex within a close vicinity. The village is known as Domegaon-Kamalpur, the name ‘Kamalpur’ was given after the name of Kamal Shah, an important executive of emperor Aurangzeb. His Mazaar (grave) is close to the Mandir-Gurdwara complex. Though the population consists of Hindus, Muslims and few Buddhists, yet they have no religious or caste barriers in marriage ceremonies or social dealings. They have days marked for different religious functions, which they all celebrate together.” He pointed out to me that the people, who followed us to the temple that day, included a Hindu, a Muslim and a Buddhist. There were no restrictions in any religious place for anyone. Later I found record of a statement of Shri Vishvanath Korpe and his mother aged 100 in a local Marathi weekly, Hind Mashaal dated 16 June 1994, which carried a detailed version of the events and confirmed the statements by Baba Thorat. I left the place with genuine respect for a village community united in its veneration for the ancient hand-written volume of Guru Granth Sahib. ~ Bhagwan Singh ~ Eternal Voice http://www.sikhnet.com/news/gurdwara-sri-bridh-baba-extraordinary-tale-faith
  21. Waheguru Here is video of the life of Baba Saroop Singh Ji Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
  22. Baba Nand Singh Jees 1st Darshan Of Satguru jee The first time that Baba Nand singh did darshan of satguru nanak from Sri guru granth sahib jee, Baba Jawand singh jee ( rajajansee wale) were also present with Baba jee. They both made a promise that until Satguru Nanak Dev Jee Does not give darshan by becoming pargat from Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee and eat the parshaada they had prepared for them, they would not eat anything. This event took place at the Saraghari Gurdwara Sahib. In this manner , for 6 long days they did not eat anything, but prepared parshaada for satguru everyday by doing continuous ardaas at the lotus charan of satguru jee. In such situation , they were on the verge of death , but both mahapursh did not give up , remembering Bhagat Ravidaas Jee’s Bachan ‘ Ehu Janam Tumaare Lekhe.’ Finally Parkash came from Satguru granth sahib and Sri guru nanak dev jee Gave their darshan to both mahapursh. Baba jee offered satguru jee their parshaada and guru sahib ate their food with much happiness and blessed both mahapursh. 1st guru sahib said to Baba jawand singh jee, ask for anything you want. Baba jawand singh ji replied ‘whenever i do keertan, please bless me with your partakh darshan satguru jee!’ Guru sahib Said ok, you will definatley get my darshan , but even those who even listen to your keertan , even they will get darshan. After Baba Jawand Singh jee had asked, it was Baba Nand Singh Jee’s turn. Guru sahib asked them, what do you want? Very humbly, Baba ji replied, ” Sache Paatshah ! i don’t even know how to ask from you ” ( Daas nu mangna nahee aunda!”) Guru Sahib Jee said; Bhai Nand Singh, you must ask for something. Baba jee said – Just do one thing, make me yours! I dont need anything else.’ These were the bachans of Baba ji proving their absolute Piar, Prem, Bhaavna for Guru sahib. When Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Ji walked up to Baba Nand Singh Ji and hugged them and said, ” You said you didn’t know how to ask for something, but you have just asked for everything” ‘Je tu mera hoe, taa sabh jag tera hoe’ If you are mine, then the whole world will be yours… Dhan Dhan Satguru Nanak Dev jee Dhan Baba Nand singh jee Dhan Baba Jawand singh Jee Baba Isher Singh ji and Baba Nand Singh Ji Baba Isher Singh Jee’s Sewa For Baba Nand Singh gur peeraa(n) kee chaakaree mehaa(n) kararree sukh saar To work for the Guru, or a spiritual teacher, is terribly difficult, but it brings the most excellent peace. Starting Sewa When Baba Isher Singh Jee became Baba Nand Singh jee’s hazuria, he gave up all of lifes ‘sukh’ for Baba jee. As the above tuk mentions , doing that sewa is extremly hard, but brings the best sukh. When Baba Isher singh jee first came into Baba jis charan, the hajurias (personal attendants of Baba Nand Singh Jee.) Were some other older singhs. They saw how Baba Isher Singh ji had alot of piaar for Baba Nanad Singh and would do anthing for them.So whenever Baba Nand singh jee used to go out somewhere , they used to call Baba Isher singh to do all their work for them while they sat around resting and sleeping. Baba Isher singh used to wash all of Baba jee’s clothes, clean all the dishes, sweep everywhere etc. Before Baba Nand Singh came they used to take Baba Isher Singh out and pretend to do the work themselves. Baba Isher Singh jee knew that the old hazurie were up to something, but he thought that if i told Baba Nand Singh jee, it would be doing ‘shikaaet’ (complaint.) In guru ghar it isn’t good to blame and complain about others. One time Baba Nand singh jee went for a walk, and Baba Isher Singh was told to do all the work. When they saw Baba Nand Singh jee walking back they shouted to Baba Isher Singh jee, ‘ run before Baba jee comes back!’ Baba Isher Singh jee was just about to walk out when Baba Nand Singh jee arrived and said ‘ where are you going?’ Baba jee said im going out from here, Baba Nand Singh jee said’ no you will stay.’ Baba Nand singh came inside and layed down on their aasan, and the old hazurieh started doing sewa off massaging Baba ji’s legs etc. He said to Baba Isher singh jee ‘ when i go out, you come in, and when i come in, you go out. Don’t worry about doing complaints, its better just to tell the truth.’ Baba Isher singh jee said your sevadaars call me in to do all the sewa and when they tell me to go out, i go.’ Baba jee said, these people are very bad, they don’t deserve this sewa. From today only you will do this sewa of being my hazuria.’ Baba jee started this sewa with alot of prem and bhaavna, and when they were free of this sewa they used to remain in bhagti. Protecting Baba Nand Singh Jee In Dehradoon one time when Baba Nand Singh Jee were at dehradoon, they were sitting out side doing Tapp. They were sitting in smadhi , in Guru Nanak Dev jee’s charan. all of a sudden there was thunder and it started pouring with hailstones. Baba jee was standing near Baba Nand Singh in their sewa. When the hailstones started, Baba Isher Singh jee stood on rock near Baba Nand Singh jee and bent over so they were covering Baba jee, as all the hailstones were hitting Baba Isher Singh Jee’s back. When Baba Nand Singh jee came out of their smadhi, they saw Baba Isher Singh jee protecting them from the heavy hailstone fall. Baba jee said, whey are standing like this? Baba Isher Singh replied ‘ the hail stones were falling heavily and you were in smadhi, to protect you from the heavy hailstone fall, i had to stand over you.’ Baba Nand singh jee got very happy by hearing then and blessed Baba Isher singh jee saying ‘ that is exactly how a sewadar should be.’ At the Nonee Mountains One time Baba Nand Singh jee went to the Nonee Mountain near shimla. Baba Isher Singh jee went down the mountain to collect some water for Baba jee. When Baba jee started to come up it started to become dark. Being on a mountain while it was very dark, Baba jee forgot the path way to go back up. But when coming down Baba jee had made signs to which way to go up (for example tied pieces of cloth to trees etc.) Slowly they reached to where Baba Nand singh jee had their aasan. At around quater past 12 they helped Baba Nand Singh jee with their ishnan, and now needed to make tea for them. It started raining heavily, Baba ji had no utensils to make the tea in, no fuel, and no sheltered place to make it. They got their garrvaa(small pitcher) and put water in it for the tea. They got Baba jis umbrella and with their hands dug a small hole in the mud. They started a fire in the hole. The small fuel they had was running out so Baba jee took their dastaar off and tearing it used it as fuel for the fire. The whole dastaar has finished, but the tea hadn’t boiled properly yet. Baba jee then took off his chola and used that as fuel. Finally the tea was made and they took it to Baba jee. Baba jee asked how they made the tea in such bad weather and they told them how they used all their clothes to fuel the fire. Baba jee was very happy with them and put their hand on their back. Pinjour baagh When Baba Jee Were coming back from shimla they stayed for sometime at ‘pinjour baagh’ where the Maharaja of Patiala had one of his palaces. It was a three storey building. Baba jee were going up to the third story, when they got to the 2nd storey Baba jee did hukam to Baba Isher singh jee to wait on the second floor for a while. Baba Isher singh jee replied ‘satbachan’ and stood against the wall. NO parshada, no water, no sleep, for THREE days Baba Isher Singh jee stood in this way against the wall. On the third day Baba Nand Singh Jee Asked the other sewadars ‘ where is ishar sia?’ the sewadaars said Isher singh is still standing in the stairs. They said we thought you told him to stay there. Baba Nand singh jee said , O fools! i only asked them to stay there for a little while before i came back down, but he is my true sewadaar who has followed my bachan without any question! Baba jee themselves went to the 2nd floor and saw that Baba Isher singh jee were standing at the same spot they had left them. Baba jee went up to them and embraced them, and told them to do ishnan paani and eat something etc. All the other sewadaars were amazed how Baba Isher singh jee followed Baba Nand singh jee’s bachan in such a way, without any question. The sakhee of Baba jee’s cholaa One time, before divaan at jagraaon, Baba Nand Singh Jee did bachan to Baba Isher singh jee to bring a new unworn cholaa to wear into diwaan. Baba Isher singh jee went inside and brought a new unworn cholaa for Baba jee. Baba jee put it on but noticed it had no buttons. Baba jee took it off and said there is no button on this, go inside and look for another chola.. Baba Isher singh jee came back after a few minutes with the same cholaa in his hands. Baba Nand Singh jee said, this had no buttons, quickly go inside and look. Baba Isher Singh Jee went inside but came back with the same cholaa again. Baba Nand Singh Jee got angry and said to Baba Isher Singh jee, why do you keep doing this? You keep bringing the same cholaa over and over again without any buttons. Some other older sangis (companions) were also there, in which Sant Baba Meeha Singh Jee Siaar wale were also present. The older sangis said to Baba Isher Singh, what are you doing, on one side you say that Baba Nand Singh jee Is God, on the other hand your not even listening to their bachan. Baba Isher singh Said in relpy, Stop talking like this, I am definately follwing Baba jee’s Bachan. The tailor forgot to put buttons on the chola, and i have no needle , thread or button, how and where will i put the button on? It is also Baba jee’s bachan that under no circumstances can we ask things from any one outside. Now tell me what can i do? When Baba jee does bachan, go inside and look, i then do go inside and look for it but i have to bring the same one back again. When Baba jee gives hukam to get buttons for the cholaa then i will be able to go to the tailor and get that done. Baba Nand Singh Jee got very happy with Baba Isher singh and took the chola off him and put it on. Baba jee did bachan , this boy is steadfast in following Hukam. He has passed all tests and has undertaken and understood maryada very well.’ Doing Sewa So in this way Baba Isher Singh Jee left all worldly pleasures and did Baba Nand Singh Jee’s Sewa. For three four hours they used to put almond oil in Baba Nand Singh Jee’s sees, for two three hours do massage of Baba Jee’s Body, Wash Baba Nand Singh Jee’s clothes, Do their Ishnaan, Make their parshada and give it to them. In 24 hours Baba jee didn’t used to talk. Without any stop or break they used to be in Baba Nand Singh Jee’s sewa. At that time Baba Isher Singh Jee had his Nitnem and Sukhmani sahib ‘Kanth’ (memorised) and used to do paat of many other bania at amritvela. During the day Baba jee used to read sri sukhmani sahib. Without reason they didn’t talk , and just read bani while doing sewa. Due to very busy schedule Babaji was always barefooted, he had little time for himself. His heels used to get cracks and often small stones got stuck up in them. This was the avastha of Baba Isher singh jee, with their mind doing simran and their body doing sewa, just as Guru Sahib Says, man bach kram prabh eaek dhhiaaeae One who meditates on the One God in thought, word and deed sarab falaa soee jan paaeae 6 that humble being receives the fruits of all rewards. 6 http://sikhunity.wordpress.com/2013/10/21/baba-nand-singh-jees-1st-darshan-of-satguru-jee/
