  2. As some of us know, that the past year Panth faced the losses of some gurmukhs, namely Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa, and then Baba Mohan Singh jee Bhindranwale. I wonder who is the current mukhi of the taksali jatha previously under Giani Baba Mohan Singh jee. More info on his jeevani other than the vague stuff on internet would be appreciated. What were his views on dharam yudh morcha? Was he at good terms with Sant Kartar Singh jee? (I would assume so, since his dastarbandi saw many mahapurkh gursikh jeevani sikhs in attendance) It is unfortunate so much of his katha and vichaaran are unrecorded.
  3. Does the Damdami Taksal have a boarding school at their headquarters at Chowk Metha?

  6. ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਾ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫਤਹਿ I'm really confused if Harnam Singh Dhumma is good or untrustworthy because some people say he is a government agent but some people say he is the right Jathedar. I also have seen a video where it says that Bhai Ram Singh (or something like that) is the Jathedar after Sant Baba Thakur Singh Ji. What should I believe??? Please help me. WJKK WJKF
  7. http://www.sikh24.com/2016/10/21/respected-sikh-scholar-bhagat-ji-from-canada-in-critical-condition-after-suffering-from-multiple-strokes/#.WAw-mMsVDL8 TORONTO, Canada—Bhai Jaswant Singh Khalsa, respectfully called “Bhagat Ji” from Toronto, Canada has remained in critical condition after facing multiple strokes. Bhagat Ji has had two strokes in past 24 hours and is currently hospitalized. Bhagat Ji had a minor stroke yesterday and was taken to urgent care. While his condition improved after being admitted, he suffered another stroke. Sikh sangat has been reciting Jaaps for Bhagat Ji’s well-being all over North America. Bhai Jaswant Singh Khalsa has been doing Gurmat parchar since the early 1960s as a student of the Damdami Taksal under the mentorship of Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale. He is the main inspiration behind the website GurSevak.com and some of the renowned Sikh websites, including iGurbani project include his works on Gurbani. Bhagat Ji is author of the most extensive steek on Sukhmani Sahib, comprising of over 900 pages. He has also compiled books providing interpretations of Bhagat Kabir Ji and Bhagat Farid Ji’s saloks and has written several books on Gurbani. http://gursevak.com/
  8. This strange backwards act of Dhumma forcing himself on DamDami Taksal is underhanded and completely not in accordance with DamDami Taksal ethics and morals. The students of DamDami Taksal who appointed him did so out of arrogance. The Dhumma clan is saying higher ups in Taksal appointed him, which in itself is very questionable. Reading DamDami Taksal history the appointing of the next Jathedar happened by the previous Jathedar or Sant or Sants. Sant Baba Sundar Singh ji was appointed as Jathedar by the previous Jathedar of DamDami Taksal, Sant Baba Bishan Singh ji. Next in line was Sant baba Gurbachan Singh ji who was appointed by the previous Jathedar. Sant Baba Kartar Singh ji would be the next Jathedar, but there is only mention of how Sant baba Gurbachan Singh ji had said multiple times that Sant Baba Kartar Singh ji will be the next Jathedar of the Taksal. Sant Baba Gurbachan Singh ji didn't tie the dastar as a sign of making him the next Jathedar. However, Sant Baba Gurbachan Singh ji's word was followed by the Taksal. This is where the Dhumma clan will want to hide or alter the history of how Sant Jarnail Singh ji Khalsa became the next Jathedar after Sant baba Kartar Singh ji. Sant Baba Kartar Singh ji was involved in a serious car accident. He was taken to the hospital where the doctors would have to remove his hair to address his injuries. Sant Baba Kartar Singh ji refused to remove any hair and due to his injuries he left his body for Sachkhand. Before leaving his body, Sant Baba Kartar Singh ji had given the responsibility to Sant baba Thakur Singh ji to appoint the next Jathedar. Taking on the seva Sant Baba Thakur Singh ji tied the dastar of DamDami Taksal on Sant Jarnail Singh ji. After 1984 attack on Sri Harmandir Sahib, Sant baba Thakur Singh ji announces Sant Baba Jarnail Singh ji Khalsa is still the Jathedar of DamDami Taksal. From 1984 to the time Sant baba Thakur Singh ji left his body in 2004, he never appointed anyone to be the next Jathedar of DamDami Taksal. When asked and pressured by students of the Taksal, Baba ji had always given the response Sant Jarnail Singh ji Khalsa is the Jathedar. If anyone was going to appoint the next Jathedar of Taksal, it would have been Sant Baba Thakur Singh ji because he was trusted by Sant Baba Kartar Singh ji to appoint the next Jathedar after him. Gursikhs like Bhai Gurdev Singh ji Kaunke were around after the attack of 1984 to be appointed as the next Jathedar of Taksal. Yet Baba ji did not appoint anyone. If anyone deserved the dastar, it was Bhai Gurdev Singh ji Kaunke. Harnaam Singh Dhumma was around Baba ji, but never did Baba ji give him the dastar of DamDami Taksal. Some have and make the argument, after Sant Baba Thakur Singh ji, somebody had to lead the Taksal. This weak attempt falls on deaf ears because only Sant Baba Thakur Singh ji could have appointed the next Jathedar, if there was going to be one. The argument stops at Baba ji saying the Jathedar is still Sant Jarnail Singh ji Khalsa. Some say baba ji was the next Jathedar, but Baba ji never said he was the Jathedar and how could this be when Baba ji is saying Sant Jarnail Singh ji Khalsa is the Jathedar. Additionally, why did the corrupt Taksal students wait two decades to appoint their own corrupted student as the Jathedar? Why didn't they do it in 1984 or a year or two afterwards? Sant Baba Kartar Singh ji trusted Baba ji to appoint the next Jathedar. Sant Baba Jarnail Singh ji Khalsa made plans after the attack of 1984 for the Dharm Yudh Morcha. But how come Sant Baba Jarnail Singh ji Khalsa did not instruct Baba ji to appoint the new Jathedar after him??????? Such an important role must have been discussed if their was going to be another appointed Jathedar. Once a person looks at the facts without getting emotional. It is very evident who is the Jathedar and who has imposed himself on the DamDami Taksal.
  9. He was sharing a platform with Mohammad Izhar Alam Khan (killer of sikh youths in 1980s and 1990s). How does the head of damdami taksal sit on the same platform as a muslim who killed sikh youths in punjab? Whats going on here? Badal is friends with Mohammad Izhar Alam Khan because they are both non-sikhs. But a so called leader of the most highly respected institution damdami taksal is now happily mixing with killers of Sikhs.
  10. http://singhstation.net/2016/05/uk-panthic-meet-hold-dhadrianwale-fault/ London, UK – Following the recent panthic divide between Baba Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale and Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma, a panthic meeting was held on 30th May at Guru Nanak Gurdwara Smethwick, to discuss the ongoing issues. 13. Source: http://singhstation.net/2015/02/taksal-shiv-sena-clashes-latter-burn-effigy-sant-bhindranwale-amritsar/ AMRITSAR SAHIB — On birth annivesary of Shaheed Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, Tension prevailed in the city when activists of Taksal and Shiv Sena came face to face when the latter tried to burn the effigy of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale on his birth anniversary in Amritsar. The trouble broke out when activists of outfits like Shiv Sena Sher-E-Punjab and Karan Sena came out to burn Bhindranwale’s effigy at Hall Gate while another was to be burnt at Hathi Gate. As soon as the news of this mischievous act spread in the town, Damdami Taksal (Ajnala) leader Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala descended on the scene along with his supporters just when the Shiv Sena activists were to set the effigy ablaze. According to available reports, Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala from Damdami Taksal along with all six singhs have been arrested by city police while only two or three Shiv Sena Activists were captured by police. Civil Lines Amritsar Police has reportedly registered a case against Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala and others under sections 107/151 Cr.PC. (Apprehension of breach of peace and tranquillity) and sent them to Amritsar jail. When the matter went to Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh, he took serious notice of the act and termed it as intolerable. He said the police must act against those who were trying to humiliate the “martyrs” and hurting Sikh sentiments. http://singhstation.net/2015/02/taksal-shiv-sena-clashes-latter-burn-effigy-sant-bhindranwale-amritsar/

  20. Recently I heard Bhai Jasbir Singh talking to a couple of Singhs at the Bay Are AKJ Smagam in California about a few interesting incidents that took place in his life. For those of you that don’t know who Bhai Jasbir Singh is, he is a very famous Keertani in the AKJ and has spent his entire life doing Keertan all over the world at the biggest and smallest AKJ Smagams. He is an old Keertani and was alive during the times of Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh. He is well respected for his seva within the Jatha. He told a few stories which I had the pleasure of over hearing. The stories are quite small but are beautiful. One time the Jatha was doing Keertan and Sant Gurbachan Singh and the Taksal were also present. This was later on in Sant Gurbachan Singh’s life. He was quite old and ill at this time, as many people who reach old age are. Those that know Sant Gurbachan Singh know that he had some parts of his body that had become paralyzed so it became hard for him to walk and move around, yet still in this state he insisted on doing Katha and would still travel to do Parchar. At this particular Smagam he had finished his Seva and now the AKJ were doing Keertan. As everyone knows in India there is no reliability on the electricity. It may go out at any time. This Smagam was going on in July so it was very hot and the electricity went out turning off the fans. It became very hot very fast. The Sangat and the Keertanis were sitting in sweltering heat doing Keertan. Sant Gurbachan Singh motioned towards his Gurvaee (personal assistant) to help him up. Sant Jee stood up grabbed a fan and with his only arm that was functional started fanning the Akhand Keertani Jatha Singhs that were doing Keertan. Bhai Jasbir Singh said at this point a man dressed up in western clothes with a suit and tie came and matha teked and went straight to Sant Jee and said that you are in such a terrible state, one of your arms is paralyzed and the one that does work you are using to fan the Keertanis, here let me do this Seva. Sant Jee replied and said: please let me do this Seva, these are Guru Sahib’s Keertanis; please let me do this Seva. Hearing this the Sardar sat down in Sangat. The Second story is during the Barsi of Sant Sunder Singh at Bhindree. The Akhand Keertani Jatha had been called by Sant Gurbachan Singh to do Keertan at the Barsi. When the Jatha arrived they realized that in the Darbar there was an Akhand Paat Sahib going on and according to the Jatha’s Maryada they do not do Keertan when another Paat is going on. So Bhai Jasbir Singh asked one of the older Singhs in the Jatha what they were supposed to do, they told him to keep quiet (Bhai Jasbir Singh was very young at this time). Bhai Jasbir Singh says he does not how Sant Jee found out what he had said perhaps someone had told him or Sant Jee just knew but right away he sent for a car to go to Moga and bring back tents. A Darbar Sahib was set up outside on the land belonging to the Gurdwara Sahib and Sant Jee said here you will do Keertan here today. Hearing these stories especially the last one brings a lot of emotions. Sant Jee who was a very strong believer in his own beliefs and opinions and Maryada still made some compromises where his Rehat wasn’t infringed and the Jatha’s Maryada wasn’t infringed either. We can bring this to our contemporary times where we fight over these things. One example I can think of is the length of Rehras. If someone does a shorter version than you, what’s the big problem? After they are done you can just do Rehras again more Bani the better right? Same goes for someone who does a longer version so what? At least you got your Nitnem done and more Bani the better right? We have 99.99% similarities and although the differences appear to be big and important we can always find compromises without fighting each other. ਹਮ ਹੋਵਹ ਲਾਲੇ ਗੋਲੇ ਗੁਰਸਿਖਾ ਕੇ I am the slave, the servant of the Guru's Sikhs, When you learn that it is God who abides in everyone's heart, it should become your principal purpose in life to be respectful to everyone. - Zindaginâmâ, Bhai Nand Lal
  21. ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਾ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫਤਿਹ I have a question about the Nitnem Steek from Damdami Taksal. It's written in the Steek that the in Christian believe it's written that the world is created in 7 days and on 8. day he did rest. But as far as I got told Christian believe that the world was created in 6 days and on the 7th days he did rest. Whats the sangats vichaar on that? The Steek is created by Bhai Avtaar Singh ji Badni Kala vale. (No Nindiya against Taksal or Bhai Avtaar Singh ji, just wanted to know on which base they say it) Bhul Chuk maaf karne. wjkk wjkf
  22. The Punjab Government is keen to remove the inscription listing separatist leader Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale’s name from the “Yadgar” memorial erected in memory of those killed during Operation Bluestar despite pressure from the Damdami Taksal that led a march to the Akal Takht today to thwart any such move. Sources said the inscription at the entrance of the memorial and the plaques on either side of the stairs leading to it mentioned about separatist leaders. This was in direct contravention of the assurance made by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal in the state Assembly that the memorial would be a simple gurdwara only. Sources said while the developments embarrassed the Chief Minister, these had also made him lose face vis a vis his alliance partner-the BJP-which is extremely unhappy at the turn of recent events. Observers feel the Chief Minister was essentially a moderate and hence could not allow Bhindranwale’s name to be projected in the manner done by the Damdami Taksal. The SAD has reportedly taken up the issue with Damdami Taksal and members of the Sant Samaj spearheading the current campaign to ensure that the inscriptions are not removed. As per the SAD stand, an understanding was arrived at with some radical elements to pave the way for the establishment of memorial. Despite it being a 20-year-old demand, memorial could not take shape as there was no unanimity on its shape. A section of radical elements, including the Sant Samaj, approached both the CM and SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal after coming to an “understanding” that all other parties were misleading the radical leaders and put their “trust” in the Badals on the issue. This helped the SAD to get support of the Sant Samaj for the 2012 Assembly elections. The Sant Samaj also earned legitimacy by getting a long-pending demand “fulfilled”. SAD sources claim it was decided that a memorial to all those who were martyred during Operation Bluestar should come up on the Darbar Sahib complex. This is disputed by the Damdami Taksal which claimed the purpose of the memorial all along had been to commemorate the “martyrs”, including Bhindranwale. The SAD claims the Taksal has “deviated” from this understanding and that no personality-centric memorial should be allowed on the Darbar Sahib complex. The SAD and the government is, however, wary of the Damdami Taksal because the latter is not willing to let go of the “success” achieved by it on the issue. Sources said the Damdami Taksal and its head Harnam Singh Dhumma felt it had “achieved” something which no other radical leader had till now. It is this which is coming in the way of an amicable “settlement” of the issue. THE ROW The inscription at the entrance of the Yadgar memorial and the plaques on either side of the stairs leading to it mention about separatist leaders SAD sources say the understanding was to raise a memorial to all those martyred during Operation Bluestar in the form of a simple gurdwara
