Iv got free time I want to do something Im thinking of learning how to play tabla so I want to ask is tabla hard to play? how long will it take me to learn the basics? how long until im able to play properly? is it really hard because that's what I hear and any teacher in Birmingham Sandwell or should I chose harmonium you can learn that online I think and its easier

does anyone know if bhai gurcharan singh hazoori ragi does he still does kirtan iv been looking for him for ages and I cant find anything but the old clips is he still Alive I really want information ,I miss he's kirtan at Darbar shaib and iv never seen him on tv or anywhere I hope he is okay I miss listing to him but I'm kind of worried and I want to know if he still does kirtan what happened plz can someone tell me im worried. bi

I tie a taksali dumala, but i am wondering what is the history behind it. Apparently the singhs in guru jis time used to wear nihang dumala and used used to wear chakars on them. When was the taksali dumala style made? who made it? is there a reason why taksalis wear this dumala? -

waheguru ji ka Khalsa waheguru ji ki fathe iv been doing kirtan and I really enjoy it and want to advance In kirtan but my voice sounds very bad and I need to improve it so is there any advice form any one how to improve my voice so I can do kirtan better

Vaheguroo Jee Ka Kalsa, Vaheguroo Jee Kee Fateh. I was wondering if any kirtanees would off tips on how to improve my voice. I have been doing kirtan for many years and my voice seems to be getting worse by the day. Do kirtanees just rely on sa re ga ma? If so, how long for? and what different tunes? This was beautiful. One could imagine how maharaj under a beautiful starry sky, where the wind is blowing gently,there's peace in the air, there's incense and candles and divas, and how maharaj absorbed in prem sung aarti as a tribute to the greatness of parmatma while bhai mardana ji played the rabab. How all those listening must have felt,how some must have awakened from their sleep and some must have felt the presence of parmatma within.

VJKK VJKF I thought it would be beneficial if I started a thread where everyone could share sakhi's and kirtan. It is important that we know sakhi's and we listen to kirtan. Not only will it benefit everyone else but it will benefit us, we will get closer to Guruji. So everyone please do feel free to share any kirtan or sakhi's on this thread. VJKK VJKF
