  1. WJKK WJKF, couldn't help but catch up with Jagowale vs Dhadrianwale and realised many people dislike taksalis, calling them aggressive, illogical, "hot-minded". Has this become a general trend? Seems people prefer to follow the professors/"khalsa" from colleges, following SGPC's maryada (won't call it Akal Thakat Maryada)

    Why Always Fall Short?

Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh, how come we always fall short despite doing Nitnem and Amrit Vela and trying to follow Guru Sahib to the best of our ability?
  3. A new company called Das Technologies has created the first ever automatic Karah Parshad machine which dispenses Karah Parshad for the sangat automatically. The sensor activated machine was introduced at Gurdwara Fatehgarh Sahib as a way to give parshad to the sangat. The benefits of the automatic machines is to give Karah Parshad hygienically by avoiding human hands and keeping the parshad nice and warm. The benefits of the machine appear to outweigh any costs particularly due to the ease of getting parshad. The public has responded negatively to the machine on social media. People are outraged as it impact the entire concept of Karah Parshad and they say that connection of getting parshad won’t be the same as one a Gurmukh gives it to their hands folded. It’ll be interesting to see when the machine gets adopted by other Gurdwaras but the machine received a tremendous response at Fatehgarh Sahib where the number of sangat is much more than other areas. http://dailysikhupdates.com/introducing-automatic-parshad-machine/
  4. Waheguru ji ke khalsa wahiguru ji ki fateh i understand and agree that the Akaal Bunga is the head of the Panth but could I have some quotes and itihaas to back this up thanks
  5. First of all, in 1980 a final ruling was made by the Akal Takht that Sikhs are allowed to eat Jhatka meat. Also, it is written in the Rehat Maryada.
  6. Wjkk wjkf I am starting this thread to seek your help in creating a list of those people who are against Gurmat maryada of sikh panth and unity. For examples ppl against Sri dasam granth, etc. i hope u get what i mean. The purpose of this thread is to only create awareness among sikh community to understand what is the truth and lies supported by genuine proofs. I know some people like Sarabjit Dhunda, ghagga, jachak, professor darshan, If you have any links with their pictures with more detailed information about their lies. please share also. Wjkk wjkf
  7. WJJK WJKF Are Amritdhari Sikhs allowed to eat eggs? Personally, I do not eat eggs or anything that has eggs in it, but I find it kind of exhausting to look at the ingredients of a lot of food products just to see if they contain eggs. I heard from someone once that most of the eggs that people eat are not even fertilized so technically you do not kill anything. I'm kinda confused so can someone answer. Bhul Chuk Maaf Karo Jee WJKK WJKF
  8. Greetings, I'm a british Sikh living in the states and want to come back into Sikhi. I plan on doing this when I return home to the UK. My question is I know I am going to have to tell my short commings to the Panj but I am wondering in Taksal maryada do you do your confession alone with the Panj or are all the others wanting to take amrit or do pesh in the same room as well? Second question. Does Taksal use larrivar saroop? Lastly, after amrit is made does only one or two Panj bestow the amrit ie face, eyes and head or do each do it once for every person. From what I read in Taksal maryada it seems as if its one or two people and not all 5. Please note I'm not wanting to start a debate on which group does what better. I just have these questions. If someone who has taken amrit at a function held by Taksal and could answer I'd very much appreciate it. Oh before I forget where in UK is Taksal Gurdwara? Guru Har Rai Gurdwara in West Brom? :read:
  9. Gursikhs used to carry out Nitnem/Abhyaas of 'Pandriyaa' in these days from 1st Poh to 15th Poh. It was carried out in Loving remembrance of Great Sacrifice done by Family of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Sahib in these first two weeks of Poh. Guruji's Four Sons, Mataji and Beloved Gursikhs (Including 3 Pyaare) attained Shaheediya in these days. These were the days which were considered highly spiritual and Powerful by Gursikhs as it is believed Shaheedi Faujan do beant Kirpa on Gursikhs who do abhyaas in these days. Maryada which was followed by Gursikhs - Amritvela, Naam Abhyaas, Baani Jaap starting at 1 am. Read as much Baani as possible in Day time. Do Kirtan and Vichaar of Guru Sahib's and Shaheeds Itihaas in Evening. Eat Less , Sleep Less , More Baani and Sewa. Staying away from TV/Cinema/Movies etc. No marriages were held in Puratan times (till 80's) in Month of Poh. No Celebrations/Bhangra/Shaguns. Staying away from Physical relations with Husband/wife( Stay Jati-Sati). Practise Control over Kaam/Krodh/Lobh/Moh/Ahankaar. Remember Sahibzadey and Shaheeds in Ardas and Feel their Presence. (It helps Mind get over Earthly Pleasures and Bonds and take Surat to Next World, thus ending Fear of Death). Those who are Mone and not much into Sikhi must also USE these days in getting closer to Guru Gobind Singh Ji Sahib and Shaheed Singhs of Panth. Dont Cut your Hair in thes days. Dont Shave. Dont Eat Meat/Eggs, dont take any type of Drugs, Dont drink Alcohol, dont Indulge in Partying etc... Bibiya please dont wear make-up. Dress Simply and Soberly. THIS IS THE LEAST WE CAN DO IN THESE DAYS OF 'GREATEST SACRIFICE' TO Remember Our Beloved Satguru Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Great Elder Brothers of KHALSA PANTH. We can never repay their sacrifice , but we can remember them and try to serve Sikhi for which they suffered so much. In these days, tell Kids and Youth and even to Non-Sikhs about Guru Gobind Singh Ji , Sahibzadey, Mata Gujri Ji, Great Family of Baba Mani Singh Ji (with 16 Shaheeds in these days like Bhai Bachittar Singh, Bhai Uday Singh and others), about 3 Pyaare , 40 Warriors of Chamkaur Sahib, about dedication of Bhai Moti mehra and Sacrifice he did, Sewa and Shaheedi of Bibi Saran Kaur, Shaheedi of Bibi Anoop Kaur. Most Glorious Chapter of Sikh History was written in these 15 days
