Did anyone else see the first episode of the two part drama series of Silent Witness about Pakistani Paedophile gangs. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01g987f/Silent_Witness_Series_15_And_Then_I_Fell_in_Love_Part_1/ This is the programme that was cancelled in May this year because the Rochdale trail was going on at the time. The second part of the drama is on this evening at 9pm. The drama was filmed around Southall although for some reason the only place mentioned by name by one of the characters is Hounslow! They showed the Singh Sabha Gurdwara in Havelock Rd quite prominently twice as the police visit the mother of one of the abuse victims at a house in Hammond Rd. This road is to the side of the Gurdwara. The fools at the BBC probably think that the Gurdwara backdrop would give the programme an ethnic feel! They also filmed in the car park at Iceland and Quality Foods in South Road. Sanjeev Bhaskar the comedian played some Pakistani married to a gori whose step daughter was one of the abuse victims. He is a good comedian but his acting was rubbish. They also had some Pakistani police woman investigating the abuse case and she contantly kept referring to the gang as 'Asian'! The last episode of the two parter is on tonight at 9pm.
