Wjkk wjkf I came across this video and it was about Psychics who could contact the dead and the Psychic in this particular video, (Matt Fraser), had told people things that nobody except that person would know. He would tell them what that person had done for the deceased, yet nobody else knowing. Psychics as a whole also believe in an afterlife and say that you go to some sort of afterlife after you die. I wanted to ask your opinions on this at a sikhi perspective. Wjkk Wjkf

What is the sikh concept of afterlife. I read that at time of passing. If our last thought is that of the creator. Then we will merge back with God. But if our last thought is on materialism or family or friends then there will be different result for us. There is obviously no belief that we will live in a heaven or hell. So what happens after. I know this is a pretty grim subject btw.

Could someone please explain what this means. Someone close has recently passed on. Before they passed they were not very well and they could see people/things. For example They saw a person outside looking at them They saw a man i think looking at them again writing something down. A cow at the top of the stairs about to fall. Ruth shick montgomery (1912-2001).A well known author of america .Information about her can be accessed from wikipedia . I would recommend to read any of her book which can be ordered online from amazon or flipkart .She goes into detail in the concepts of reincarnation, afterlife, change of age and many other spiritual topics.Ruth was an automatic writer and conveyed information which was given to her by guides.

WJKK WJKF I have been wondering lately that there are millions of people on this earth that don't follow Sikhism and many people don't know a thing about sikhism. My question is what does sikhi say about people who don't follow sikhism? I know we believe all religions are equal and we should respect each others religions. But in Sikhi, we try to be one with vahiguru and jap his name and gain mukti and "chutkara" from reincarnation, so what happens to the other millions of people on the earth, none of them get mukti? What does SGGS and the Guru's say about them and this? Bhul Chuk Maaf.

Sikhi teaches that the soul reincarnates when the body dies. Sikhs believe that good, or bad actions, determine the life form into which a soul takes rebirth. At the time of death, demonic, ego centered souls may be destined to suffer great agonies, and pain, in the dark underworld of Narak. A soul, fortunate enough to achieve grace, overcomes ego by meditating on God. Such a soul may attain liberation from the cycle of reincarnation. The soul then experiences salvation in Sachkhand, the realm of truth, where it exists eternally, as an entity of radiant light. Do Sikhs have an afterlife? Sikh dharam believes in reincarnation, which is that after death a person is born again depending on the actions he/she has committed in his/her last life. As soul is present not only in human but all living creatures (but is only conscious when in the human form), one can be born in any life form depending on the actions he or she committed in their past life. One who reaches the state of spiritual perfection by remembering God and controlling 5 thieves (Kaam, Krodh, Moh, Lobh and Hankaar) breaks or escape the cycle of death and rebirth, and merging into Waheguru (Gurmukh) and that is salvation for Sikhs. Sikhs believe that their soul (Atma) will connect will god (Parmatma). The person who does not remember God or is attached to the 5 thieves is known and self willed or Munmukh.
