  1. With Maharaj's kripa, I have signed up at the local Gurdwara Sahib and will be taking Amrit on Vaisakhi. To all the Singhs who have taken Pahul, is a Bana Chola needed or is long navy kurta top without Pajama also fine? Also which colour Bana Chola did Maharaj and the original Panj Pyaare wear in 1699 Vaisakhi? Most pictures show either Kesari or Navy blue. I know the point is the Amrit itself and not what colour they wore but it'd be nice to know. (PS: I'm taking Amrit from the normal SGPC Sikh Rehat Maryada, not Damdami Taksal or Nihang Rehat)

    Getting ready for amrit

I am following Sikhi for little while and I keep my hair uncut since december when we had shaheedi smagam. I am preparing for taking amrit shak what should amritvela routine be? I know u wake up nd do ishnaan. Then do u just read 5 prayers? What about Waheguru simran? Can I do it until the panj pyare gave it to me? Also do u keep kirpan on for sleeping? My friend said he keeps it on table near his bed cos it kept poking him at night
