  1. ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਾ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫ਼ਤਹਿ We have published two basic Punjabi apps for Windows 8 and Windows Phone that teach young children the basics of Punjabi; the alphabets, common fruit and vegetables, common animals, colors, numbers and shapes. Trying to learn more about their heritage and culture, Sikh and Punjabi children may benefit from this application; a foundation in the language is beneficial in understanding Sikhi. The phone app was published about 6 months ago and we just released the Windows 8 app. Both are free, and not driven by ads. Amrit Punjabi on the Windows Store - http://apps.microsoft.com/windows/app/amrit-punjabi/677c3db0-23a2-48a8-aa42-26157c2883b3 Amrit Punjabi on the Windows Phone Store - http://www.windowsphone.com/s?appid=96a055cd-e21b-49a6-b346-04220edeb9d4&name=Amrit-Punjabi We have bigger plans with Punjabi apps for children; if you want to help, especially with native programming for Windows 8, visit the website: http://www.amritpunjabi.com/ and contact us. We have spent a lot of time and effort over the past 1.5 years in developing these tools, and want to build on what we have learned. Help make our tools better! Spread the word! Learn Punjabi! Participate! And did we mention, the tools are FREE! ਧੰਨਵਾਦ
