  1. Just had a question regarding this specific passage within Suraj Parkash regarding Banda Singh. Now I know we have to read Suraj Parkash with a pinch of salt, however take note of the fact that Kavi Santokh Singh noted that they placed 3 things before Banda Singh Bahadur. First he was to wear the blue bana, consume meat, and then alcohol. My main concern is regarding the alcohol bit. If anyone could try to explain the importance of this, or try to explain why the Singhs offered alcohol. Please let me know.
  2. Can any taksali Singh verify that damdami taksal has old documents mentioning that Baba Banda Singh Bahadur wrote birs of Sarbloh Granth. https://www.sikhiwiki.org/index.php/Sarbloh_Granth Research of its authenticity There is much scholarly work going into the authentication of the Sarbloh Granth, one recalls passage written in manuscripts kept by Damdami Taksal recording Banda Singh Bahadur having done seva (doing work for Sikhi without wanting any bargain) of writing Sarbloh Granth handwritten birs (this point is from a very biased and untrusted source someone should look into its authenticity).
  3. What is the truth about him? Should i believe this website? https://www.sikhiwiki.org/index.php/Bandai_Khalsa
  4. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh! Something Daas wanted to know was how exactly from Banda Singh Bahadur having a kingdom and freeing Sirhind; was he forced to live in the jungles? Daas tried searching for an answer, but found very little details. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh!
  5. To quote a portion: 'The seven years, from 1708-1716, which chart the meteoric rise and execution of Banda Singh Bahadur are a testament to the rugged individualism and grit of the Sikhs. They reflect a prominent pattern of Sikh history viz. the ascent, descent and the re-ascent of the Khalsa over it’s foes. As memories of June 1984 loom ever closer, it would be prudent for Sikhs worldwide to reflect upon the revolutions of both Banda and the Sikhs of ’84 and attempt to identify the similarities in both. It is a given that no two movements can ever be fully compared or even contrasted, but a general consensus can always be agreed upon vis-a-vis their effect and ultimate conclusion. The forced demise of Banda Singh’s revolution did not put it’s spirit to sleep; rather it only bolstered the Sikh spirit and the Khalsa continued it’s struggle for sovereignty and religious freedom in the wilderness of the Punjab. Post-’84, the Sikhs failed to derive inspiration from their past and rather focused solely upon the trauma of ’84. As such, their history was brought to a premature conclusion on the events of the aforementioned period. One need only imagine what the result would have been if the post-Banda Sikhs had focused solely upon their treatment at the hands of the Mughals, rather than taking any conducive steps towards preserving themselves from such atrocities in the future.' https://tisarpanthdotcom.wordpress.com/2016/06/03/the-stalwarts-revolution/
  6. I have read about the brutal executions of Guru Arjan Dev Ji and Banda Singh Bahadur. Accounts for both of their executions state that they never flinched with pain. How is that possible? Especially for Banda Singh Bahadur's execution, the accounts were written by Muslim and British writers who were present at the execution. So it is definitely true. Were they able to block out the pain? Or did they simply not feel any pain whatsoever? Was their mind\soul outside of their physical body?
