  2. This happened to me a long time before but just last night again, i was dreaming about a snake who I had to keep my eye on however when I would look away it would go off. Then I came near to it and it stood up and I felt threatened. i suddenly woke up and it was amritvela, thanking guru I went to have a ishnan and came back to my room. But when I started doing my medidation my dhiyaan was going to a snake. When I focused all I could see was that snake standing up. Is this just me being superstitious as I think it may just be because of the dream it was in my head and then when I did dhiyaan it came up or does it mean something else? Please put my mind to rest!!
  3. VJKK VJKF Sangat Ji, Daas is asking for some help. I'm trying to increase my bani and naam (or even just doing the current bani and naam I am being blessed to do) but I can't do any simran or paath with my family having to say something about it. They are constantly telling me to stop and I feel like I have to wait for them to leave the house for do any simran or bani because they're always listening out for me and judging me and making fun of me. They kick up a fuss every time I was to go to the Gurudwara and I want to become Amritdhari soon and I can't hack them constantly not letting me to bhagti. I've done ardaas many times and I always hold faith and it seems like things get worse but that's not the problem because Maharaj doesn't make mistakes so I can accept that but I don't know what I can do. I can't use that as an excuse to not do any naam or bani. I've spoken to them and everything and they just don't care. It makes me want to leave the house and it's destroying my relationships with people at home. What can I do? Vaheguru Ji
  4. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh! How different is the Bhagti movement from Sikhi? It seems like there are lots of overlaps and the only real difference I could find was the need for Gur-prassad, (among the entire movement not the 15 bhagats, who did believe in Gur-prassad). Also if they are really very similar, what prevented those from the Bhagti movement from being Sikh during the Hindu mass conversions to Islam? Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh!
  5. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh! Daas wanted to know if Bhagti was inherited, because when pregnant mothers do lots of Bhagti while they are expecting the child usually becomes a person of higher Gurmat; however, there are some mothers who didn't do a lot of Bhagti and their children still turned out great, in terms of Gurmat. Also what can the father do to assist the child's Bhagti before the child is born, because it always seems like the mother's responsibility for Pre-Birth Simran? Also don't bring-up the issues of Mahapurukhs since many are sent by Vaheguru, and have been Pre-Mukt before they came, even Gurbani says they are exceptional. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh!
  6. Last year was a tough year. We decided we were having an extension to be done in the house. This resulted in a great deal of disruption to our normal routine. It also meant that we were more busy than ever and had lesser visitors around. It meant we were eating simpler foods. It also meant that the TV was off for a significant amount of time. This is when I had my ipod on for long periods of time. I was listening to a lot of shabad kirtan, We were visiting lesser people so I was spending a significant amount of time on my own. (Listening to shabads, I would have tears rolling down my eyes and would cry a great deal) I had never woken up at Amrit vela to do path. I decided to do this and Amrit vela was truly magical. I had a number of experiences of being woken up by divine forces and the urge to start praying. It is at this time that one day I was listening to the shabad - ik shin dharas dhikhaye ji. Then I started to wonder what it would be to get darshan for just a minute. Deep in my heart I starting longing for darshan of one minute. I woke up at Amrit vela - did all my prayers and went to sleep. When I was sleeping - I had this wonderful blissful experience which is totally difficult to describe. My soul was totally awakened and my heart felt like it filled my whole body. I felt totally different and there was a voice deep deep in me asking me If I wanted Waheguru and there was Waheguru simran going on like I have never heard or felt before. The voice was so clear. There was nothing to see - it was just a feeling. A very clear feeling. My answer was yes - I wanted Waheguru. The voice replied to me - Then keep doing the jap of Waheguru. The voice was not heard by my ears but by my soul. Then the great feeling started to part. My husband was calling me below to do something. (in my dream) I was pleading with him, please give me one second - the feeling is leaving me and I dont want it to end. In my dream my soul was sort of hanging in the air and I could not get down to do the task he was asking me to. I was in full consciousness but sort of paralysed. Something kept tugging me on the side and I thought it was my son. The feeling which I was getting of Waheguru was so sweet that I could not let it go but it kept departing. My soul was yearning for it and an explanation came to me instantly and I understood - not now it said - you still have people who need you. I woke up and opened my eyes. I thought my son was on the side pulling at my blanket - but he was not. The feeling of his hands on my side was so real, that I was just wondering what had been happening to me. Some force had come to my assistance to bring my soul back to my body. I was wondering whether I had died or what was it? I was only full of regret - why did I ask darshaan of only ik shin? I should have asked more. How did I know that this wish would be fulfilled? If I had known then I would definitely have asked for more. So if you are doing simran or bhagti or anything else (meditation, listening to shabads) be hopeful and know that Waheguru is real. YOu need to keep working and try to beat all the obstacles which will come your way. Use your time wisely - choose your friends wisely and keep your thoughts positive and focused all the time. The hope which we rely on and the reward of darshan of one minute is so beautiful that it fills you up with regret when you have to depart. Keep praying that Waheguru can keep us in sach khand right under his care and under his wings such that we do not have to depart from him again and come to this earth to suffer. The real spiritual world which we long to see is seen with closed eyes. What we see when we open our eyes is all false. Yes it was and it is a sad departing when we leave God to come to this world. God wants us to unite with him, but we can only meet him through our actions. So let us start doing the things which will bring us closer to God. Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ. 7. BHAGTI OF TRUTH** Hear It - Understand It - Preach It | Beauty Of Sikh Logic For Mankind | Dhadrianwale Reference Link - ਅਸਲੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਹੈ http://youtu.be/mO6oNxH9DM0 20th September 2014, ਕਰਤਾਰਪੁਰ, ਦੋਆਬਾ - Within the deeply informative and thought-provoking live recording that can be watched in the reference link (ਅਸਲੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਹੈ), Baba Ranjit Singh Khalsa Dhadrianwale discusses what 'Bhagti' is whilst speaking to the thousands who attended a Panthic Diwaan on 20th September 2014, organised by the Parmeshar Dwar Gurmat Parchar Mission in the Doaba region of Punjab within Jalandhar city's Kartarpur town. After doing 'Vaheguru Simran' with the Sangat present, a fundamental part of a Sikhs life, they explain with Gurmat justification that one form of 'Bhagti' is the truth (“Sach”). First Sikhs must hear the truth, then they must understand the truth and finally they should preach the truth. This is the beautiful concept in Sikh logic that is applicable to all of mankind. They explained that if they were to simply meditate on stage, no person would come into conflict with them. However, when the truth is spoken then certain people will enter into conflict, whether it be drug dealers, snake worshippers or those agencies working against the Khalsa Panth. They urged Sikhs to not fear what others may think as the person who looks at others is known as a “Moorakh”. As it is better for our body to stay hungry but not eat the wrong food, in the same way we must only feed our inner-being with truthful, right knowledge. If the wise Guru Nanak Dev Ji sat in Kartarpur meditating without propagating the truth, no person would have confronted them. In the same way Kalgidhar Guru Gobind Singh Ji could have kept quiet on the issue of castes, equality and authoritative power misuse and they could easily have lived a comfortable life in Anandpur, but instead they became a voice against injustice and propagated the truth. The world does not favour the Bhagti of speaking the truth. Those who understand the nations difficulties as their own, speak up for human rights and challenge corruption, they will always be targeted. Baba Ranjit Singh Khalsa talked about the simple and just demands raised in the 1980's Anandpur Sahib Resolution and the truth that was spoken by the Sikh nations saint soldier Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale, where others afraid of the truth became traitors of the Khalsa Panth. Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale challenged the system, spoke against injustices and ultimately propagated the truth, hence the reason they became a target of army's and tanks. Also sitting within the Sangat was Sathkaarjog Bapu Tarlok Singh Ji, father of the great martyr, warrior Shaheed Bhai Satwant Singh Ji.
