Over the years I've wondered what the 'story' was about the 52 humans I.e. how, when, where they were introduced to the kaum.. I've heard various stories ..some contradictory of other each other. Its only fairly recently I came across : The Sikhism code of conduct. Reht Maryada, is based on 52 hukams or edicts issued by TenthGuru Gobind Singh in 1708 in Nanded and sent to the Sikhs living in Kabul and Hazoor Sahib. The 52 hukamnamas or edicts giving instruction on appropriate behavior were written by order of Guru Gobind Singh and copied down by Baba Raam Singh Koer whose great grandfather was Bhai Baba Buddha. Guru Gobind Singh affixed his personal seal to the document, a copy of which can be seen at historic Indian Gurdwara Paonta Sahib. PS this isn't a post cast any doubt about the hukams (i believe all 52 are spot on) just would love to see the document and seal of guru ji.
