  1. Saw this digitized version of the article on social media just now, its the sept 1984 edition of the surya indian magazine. Very important piece in Sikh history that exposed what Sikhs been saying all these years that it was the indira's congress government provoking violence using secret state agent provocateurs in order to create a pretext to attack darbar sahib and genocide the Sikhs in punjab. Apparently the journalist spoke to high level Indian military intelligence sources from the R&AW at the time only a few months after operation blue star.
  2. Fear of Khalistan: India demands UK to disallow Social Justice meet News Desk - July 13, 2018 News Analysis | India has issued a demarche to the UK protesting a meeting convened in London by separatist organization Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) next month. The meeting has been called with an intention to shape the ‘Referendum 2020’ campaign in August that seeks a separate Khalistan and “independence of Punjab”. This wholesale slaughter, which led to the deaths of many Sikhs including entire families, has been widely condemned by human rights activists and has been designated as genocide by the California State Assembly. “We have taken up the matter with the UK government. We have also issued a demarche and we expect that the UK government does not allow any such group to use its country whose intention is to spread hate and which can affect our bilateral ties. “We have told them the intention of the event is the same,” the ministry of external affairs spokesperson said. He was responding to a question on what action has India taken to stop the meeting. Mr. Kumar said the ties of the Sikh community residing in the UK and other parts of the world are good with India. “Their ties, with the country they reside in, are also good. As far as the small groups are concerned, they are fringe elements and their job is to spread hate and communal disharmony,” he said. The SFJ has also offered to sponsor Punjabi youths as well as political activists to take part in the gathering next month. Read more: India fumes over pro-Khalistan posters in Pakistan The specter of a Sikh State in the form of Khalistan has scared New Delhi since India’s creation in 1947. The Khalistan Movement is a Sikh nationalist movement that wants to create an independent state for Sikh people, via peaceful struggle, inside the current North-Western Republic of India. An ignored aspect is that the concept of an independent Sikh state was originally floated by none other than Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru in the pre-independence period through a Sikh leader whose ear he had at that time. Although the term had popped up occasionally as a non-serious slogan by stray unrepresentative voices during the period leading up to the partition of the country into India and Pakistan, the concept was first given formal shape and the term Sikh Home Land first used by Master Tara Singh at Nehru’s behest as a “counterblast to Jinnah’s demand for an independent Muslim state, Pakistan. In other words, the demand for Khalistan was first raised to counter and kill the demand for Pakistan. Thus, ironically, Khalistan was invented to preserve India’s unity and integrity, and not to break it. It was used to frighten the British away from the idea of Pakistan. The Sikhs as a separate nation before British rule chose to join India by choice on promises made by Nehru. The Independence of India was not a joyful event for Sikhs and the scars of partition left Sikhs in a lot of discontentment with regard to their traditional lands being lost to Pakistan and truncated Eastern Punjab being dominated by a non-Punjabi speaking majority. These grievances were further aggravated by u turn of Nehru on promises made to the Sikh community. Further on, Indira Gandhi tried to prop up Deras of Nirankaris to counter the Sikh’s growing political clout. Nirankari Gurus desecrated the Sikh scriptures and were allowed to do it under police protection. In a major altercation, 8 Sikhs were murdered by Nirankaris while they were protesting the desecration. This was the incident that created a call for taking up arms against the Nirankaris, and thereof against the government if it protected them. The SFJ has also offered to sponsor Punjabi youths as well as political activists to take part in the gathering next month. Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale emerged as the voice of Sikhs, over-ruling the pro-State leaders like Longowal. Bhindrawale declared himself as the protector and arbiter of Sikh rights and acquired arms. A list of attacks attributed to Bhindranwale by the government but never substantiated by proof finally gave New Delhi the excuse to impose an emergency in October 1983. In June 1984, an event would happen that would ignite the flame for Khalistan. The assault on Darbar Sahib, popularly known as the Golden Temple (the holiest of Sikh temples) by the Indian military forces using tanks and artillery – known as Operation Blue Star was conducted in order to evict a group of armed pro-Khalistan activists from the temple – a claim that remains controversial to this day with prominent politicians like Subramanian Swamy asserting that this was a disinformation campaign to legitimize the attack. Read more: Khalistan factor defined Trudeau visit to India According to the Indian Army, 136 army personnel were killed and 249 injured. In all, 493 people in the complex were killed including Bhindranwale and 86 injured; the government report also mentions that 1600 people were unaccounted for, though it does not state what fraction were killed or injured. Unofficial figures go well into the thousands. Massive human right violations by Indian Army personnel took place like gunning down of prisoners and burning & looting of the Sikh Reference Library. Retaliation by some Sikhs came in the way of the assassination of Indira Gandhi by her bodyguards, Satwant Singh and Beant Singh. This act triggered the so-called anti-Sikh riots of 1984, which has been reported to be a planned pogrom by the Congress against the Sikhs. This wholesale slaughter, which led to the deaths of many Sikhs including entire families, has been widely condemned by human rights activists and has been designated as genocide by the California State Assembly. The army occupation of Punjab which followed Operation Blue Star was highly detrimental to the Sikhs. Mass human rights violations like torture, extrajudicial murders, rapes, illegal detentions, forced disappearances were inflicted upon the Sikh community by the Indian authorities to subdue resistance. Sikh groups resisted through an armed insurgency, which carried on for decades. India has been unable to suppress the demands of a separate Sikh state by both force and greed. In order to demean the struggle for Khalistan it often uses the foreign boogeyman as a tool for disinformation. https://www.globalvillagespace.com/fear-of-khalistan-india-demands-uk-to-disallow-social-justice-meet/
  3. DID The SAS kill at Amritsar? Foreign Office hastily recalls files 'detailing UK role' in notorious Indian army crackdown on Sikhs Papers released by Whitehall this summer have been recalled amid fears they contain details of UK military assistance to India at Amritsar in 1984 Note was found by a researcher working at the Kew Archives Sikh Federation has called for a second investigation into UK involvement By Rebecca Taylor For Mailonline Published: 09:56, 4 November 2016 | Updated: 08:03, 5 November 2016 Prime Ministers of Indira Gandhi of India and Margaret Thatcher of Britain shown here at Delhi Airport in 1981 Dozens of files were pulled from the National Archives amid fears they detail British involvement in the Indian Army's attack on Amritsar in 1984. Papers were released from Whitehall to the National Archives this summer but recalled abruptly after the Sikh Federation wrote to Boris Johnson to tell him they had found 'delicate information' relating to 'UK military assistance to India'. A note, seen by the MailOnline, found by a researcher reportedly referred to the possibility of SAS involvement after 'an Indian request for military assistance in the setting up of a National Guard for internal security duties'. The note was written by a civil servant in the Foreign Office's South Asia department in July, 1984, and was copied to Ministry of Defence official and the high commissioner in Delhi. Hundreds of people were killed on June 6, 1984 when Indian troops stormed the Golden Temple at Amritsar, which was being held by a Sikh group. The three-day siege saw the Indian Army storm the Golden Temple to flush out the group and arrest Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale a Sikh leader and his followers. The Golden Temple in Amritsar India. In 1984 it was the scene of an assault by the Indian Army as they sought to flush out Sikh separatists As a result, Former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was assassinated by her Sikh bodyguards following the bloodbath. Nearly 3,000 people were subsequently killed in retaliatory riots against the Sikhs. In 2014, it was revealed that Britain may have had a role in Operation Blue Star, which sent shockwaves through India and the Sikh community. A review called for by David Cameron was criticised as having too narrow a scope, and concluded that the UK provided expert military advice after an urgent request from the Indian Intelligence Co-Coordinator. Margaret Thatcher with Indira Ghandi in the early 1980s. The Sikh Federation claims there is growing evidence of Thatcher's involvement with the Indian government before Operation Blue Star After the discovery of the 'delicate information' in the archives, human rights lawyers have written to the Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson on behalf of the Sikh Federation asking for another review. The call comes shortly before Prime Minister Theresa May's diplomatic visit to India next week. A statement released on the Sikh Federation's Twitter said: 'On the eve of her critical trade visit to India, she [Mrs May] is being pressured to come clean about the role played by the SAS in the Sikh genocide in the 1980s. 'There is increasing evidence that Margaret Thatcher's administration worked more closely with the Indian government than was known at the time. 'Vital new documents have been removed from the National Archives. 'There should be a full, independent investigation into these matters.' A government spokesman for the Foreign Office said: 'The FCO borrowed some of their files from 1984 that were released to the National Archives so they could read the content following concerns raised by the Sikh Federation. They will return all the files in full shortly. 'The issue of SAS advice prior to Operation Blue Star was dealt with in the 2014 report by the Cabinet Secretary. These files contain nothing about this incident.' ================================== http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3904460/DID-SAS-kill-Amritsar-Foreign-Office-hastily-recalls-files-detailing-UK-role-notorious-Indian-army-crackdown-Sikhs.html

  5. I've been analyzing the situation of the taliban in Afghanistan and how our own Khalistan forces of the past have the same sort of determination and faith when engaging the enemy foe. Obviously we have massive difference in faith / ideology and war/ peace time codes of conduct however we can now see in this corrupt world were the rich get richer and poor get poorer and the major powers of the day do not want to let the smaller nations breath the air of freedom and independence .....only through military force do things change drastically politically and the aggressors are forced to the negotiating table after they have seen they cant win with their foolish violence oppression and state terrorism against the population of a targeted community. The taliban will take over Afghanistan once the Americans and other nato forces leave, its only a matter of time. Looking back at the Khalistan forces they had the same determination to shake off the shackles of the occupying genocidal imperialist power (indian government) but lacked funds, numbers, advanced military training, lack of geo-political allies. The taliban are lucky they have covert supply chains from pakistan's ISI, Russia, Iran, arab / muslim countries, muslim NGO's, have enough numbers (ie indigenous pasthuns of the area), terrain they know well, etc. Just wondered if Sikhs were not located in such a messed up in geo-political set up stemming from the mistakes of 1947 .... Khalistan would have been established by now especially by exercise of arms.
  6. in regards to the sanctioning of the death sentance of sikh political prisoners/ banning of movies like sadda haq, murder of bhai jaspal singh and no justice. Is this a well planned deep rooted conspiracy to cut down the new generation of Sikhs who are witnessing the discrimination and helpness they face trapped in hindustan / indian union? Knowing the strength of the Sikh spirit especially during vaisakhi time is this another episode of Sikh history about to unfold before our eyes?
  7. It is disgusting for me to see news articles, where there are reports of Sikh Bodies, including the official parliament of Sikhs - SGPC, requesting Indian President to interfere in the capital sentence of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana, and grant clemency to him. But I have a very strong objection to the use of word – “Clemency”. Clemency means the forgiveness of a crime or the cancellation (in whole or in part) of the penalty associated with it. Hence, by asking for Clemency, these bodies are agreeing to the inferred statement that what Balwant Singh did was indeed a crime, which is absolutely not right. Instead, we are failing the great legend, who has stuck to his ground for last 7 years, that what he did was absolutely right; because Beant Singh was a murderer, and no less evil than the likes of Kony and Gaddafi. Beant Singh was responsible for overseeing the mass killing of Sikhs and was responsible for giving police officers such as KPS Gill (known as ‘The Butcher of Punjab’), SSP Sumedh Saini, SSP Mohammad Izhar Alam (leader of the infamous Black Cats) and others a free reign to run operations that deliberately targeted the civilian population of Punjab. The suicide operation conducted by Balwant Singh & Dilawar Singh put an end to a decade long period of State Organized killing of Sikh youths (almost 50,000 Sikhs were killed in fake ‘encounter’ killings, brutal torture, illegal detention, and mass rapes). What is even more inspiring, and mark of personal integrity and spiritual strength is that he has never asked Indian Government for Justice. He had even refused to hire a lawyer, because he does not believe in Indian Judicial System. He has openly called for the death penalty recognising it as the only form of justice available to him under the Indian legal system. And, is he irrational or wrong? No, because the State that organises and sponsors Sikh genocides to teach Sikhs a lesson, and rewards the Sikh mass murderers (read Sajjan Kumar, Jagdish Tytler) who were the perpetrators of the 1984 genocide, with plum government posts and state protection has absolutely failed in its duties towards its citizens, and is not worth asking justice for.
