  1. Priceless, Divine Diamonds - XIV Sriman Sant Isher Singh Ji Maharaj Rara Sahib Wale 76. Ãtma The Self is absolutely free from all sorts of thoughts or modifications: 1. Mental Impurities (Mal Dosha) 2. Oscillating Mind (Vikhshep Dosha) 3. Veil of Ignorance (Ãvaraņ Dosha) These are the characteristics of the Antaḣkarņa (Mind, intellect, ego) only and not of ātma, which is free from all such impurities. 1. By engaging in righteous actions, freedom from Mental Impurities (Mal Dosha) is obtained, 2. With devotional worship, oscillating mind is brought under control, and 3. With True Knowledge, the Veil of Ignorance is destroyed. The three perceived aspects of cosmic energy — Rajõ, Tamõ and Satõ Guņ are just mental perceptions. No form has good or bad qualities of its own. The Self is forever free from all modifications, either good or bad, and it is established in itself, like a stone is established firmly in its solidity, water in its fluidity and the sky in its vast nothingness. || Nirvilakalpoḣṅ(g) || 77. Brahmakār Birtī Those individuals who detach themselves from Rajō, Tamō and Satō mental modifications and exist in profound contemplation of the Brahm, are true Gyānis, Yogīs and the Liberated ones. The illusion of Māyā cannot come anywhere near them; for them, māyā drops its power of ignorance, and acquires the form of Brahm itself. The minds of such blessed ones remains immersed in the ocean of absolute tranquility. For them, the visibile is the invisible, and the manifested is the formless. The only entity that remains is the unbound, limitless Self, which is Smādh-Rūp. The Universe and The Brahm - Two names of the same modification-free Self I 'is' the Nirvīlakpa Self that is devoid of any thought whatsoever. In ignorance of the Self is the illusion of the Universe, whereas in Knowledge only the Absolute exists. In reality, the Nirvīlapka Self is totally free from all modifications, and that nothingness is absolute Smādhī. State of Knowledge (Gyān Avasthā) — Brahm, Truth-Conciousness-Bliss. State of Ignorance (Agyān Avasthā) — Objective Universe, world or images. ਸਰਬ ਰੂਪ ਸਬ ਤੇ ਪਰੇ, ਮਮ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈ ਸੋਇ ॥ (Sarb Rūp Sab Te Pare, Mam Sarūp Hai Soe) Beyond all forms and beyond all thought, lies my true Self. 78. Displace the Mind and Awaken the Intellect Raise the state of the mind by contemplating profoundly on the Sarūp of Guruji and do practice (Abhayās) of Gurmantar. When the mind arrives at one-pointed concentration on Simran and contemplation of Guruji, then the next step is to awaken the sleeping intellect that is suffering in this dream of the world of name and form. Awaken it with the divine declerations of Guruji (Mahāvakya⁕), with which this dream of objective universe will end, and the Self will establish itself in the the infinite source of Happiness, and will pervade over the mind, thought, intellect, and ego (Antāhkarna), and Liberation will thus be achieved. ⁕Gurmat mahavak is- Ikongkar Satgurparsad — Ikongkar- sab da parkash roop- nirgun-sargun bhram, Sat(Truth) Gur(Chaitain- Supreme Consciouness/awareness) and Parsad - Anand Saroop...atma-paratma.!! Antāhkarna Antākarna — The fourfold organ of Mind, intellect, ego and the subconconsious mind is called Antāhkarna. In other words, its the thought that is known by all these different names. 1. Mind (Mann) — Desires and the oscillating thoughts (Sankalpa, Vikalpa) 2. Subconcious mind (Chitta) — desires and thoughts 3. Intellect (Budh) — thoughts and resolutions 4. Ego (Ahaṅkār) — The self-arrogant principle 'I'. In the city of the body, these four operate as petty officials, wheras the Self is the true Emperor of them all. 79. The Universe is the Self Brahmdevta and the universe are not separate from each other. Just as tree is nothing but the seed, waves and foam of the ocean is nothing but the water, similarly Brahm considers the Universe as its own form — the infinite sky is my head, the nether lands are my feet, sun and moon my two eyes, the middle earth my belly; the rivers are my innards, all lifeforms are the internal organisms, mountains are the bones, vegetation my pores and ocean the exit area. Namaskār to this vismād rūp body of mine. Removal of filth of Attraction and Repulsion (Rāg-dvaish) It is impossible to realise the Self as long as filth of likes and dislikes, and desires, is not removed from the Antāhkarna (Mind, subconcious, intellect and ego). Therefore, one should free one's mind of these distractions and effort should be placed on profound contemplation of the nature of the true Self. 80. World is a mere illusion This entire world is nothing but a grand illusion. Just as the reality of dream-objects is only limited to the dream, and its contents limited to the mental state of the dreamer, similarly the objective universe and everything in it — actions, the doer and the doing, etc. — are all mirages and illusions created by Ignorance. World as motion picture Watch how the motion picture of this world is being projected by the machinery of the mind onto the canvas of the Absolute. All sorts of images and plays are projected on the canvas, yet this canvas remains blemish-free. In a similar manner, despite the projections of life, death, etc. in this world, the Self remains absolutely unchaged. Nothing else exists apart from the Truth-Consiciousness-Bliss, all-complete, formless, modification-free, non-dualistic, infinite Self, that remains forever merged in Itself. … to be continued … Link to Previous entries - http://www.sikhsangat.com/index.php?/topic/70053-priceless-divine-diamonds-xiii-sriman-sant-isher-singh-ji-maharaj-rara-sahib-wale/ Guru Roop Sangat Jeo, million times maafi for the countless mistakes jeo Dhanvaad!
