  1. You know how we don't eat meat, bad Karma and all dat. How comes we can wear leather, shoes, belts, and have tabla's which are made from animal skins in the Gurdwara? I've also seen scabbards which are made of leather and Kirpan's inside dem. So whats the deal? We don't eat meat but we're allowed to wear it, and we're not allowed to bring meat inside the Gurdwara but slaughtered animal skin (belts, scabbards, tabla) is ok? Also didn't Bhagat Ravidas do leather work / was a Chamar as proffession so did handle skin etc. But their Bani is in SGGSJ
  2. I have a pretty long taksali sri sahib. It looks very nice, but the problem is that the handle part at the end where you hold it from has many scratches and slowly it is becoming kinda dark and stuff. Is it okay if I add a sort of leather grip on the handle to protect from damage? Will it cause any problems with the iron? Does anyone with knowledge in this kinda stuff tell me how to add one myself? If that is not possible, then does anyone know of a way to remove the scratches and give it a brand new look? My kirpan looks exactly like this: https://www.facebook.com/Lsnaagi/photos/a.639552042834228.1073741842.238662012923235/688275261295239/?type=1&theater Please give me other tips on kirpan maintenance too
  3. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh, I was wondering the other day if wearing/using leather products such as wallets, belts, shoes, purses, etc. is okay for us as Sikhs? What got me wondering is the vegetarian diet of a lot of Sikhs. What are your opinions? Gurfateh, Justin
