  2. So more studying, now the reincarnation process is it actually what we will become after passing or are we talking about our mind is constantly being reincarnated. Acting like an i.diot, your mind is reincarnated into a donkey, thinking about sex all the time, your mind is reincarnated into a dog etc. As nobody knows what happens after death.
  3. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh. I'm really a paapi but I need the sangat opinion on this. As Maharaj does his kirpa upon alll, I find myself start to prefer hearing gurbani or keertan rather than songs and watching movies. I would always want to listen to parchaar, listen to anything that is sikhi related. I would always walk away if my family is watching a dance show, watching a movie. I really am a paapi but this is me. I like this version of myself that is always in the ang sang Waheguru. I do listen to songs and people dancing but as days comes it's getting lesser. Here comes my question. As me and my family was seeing a Hindi show, a celebrity walked in. She was wearing very revealing clothes. Upon seeing that, I straight away told my sister, I don't like her. My sister said to me back, doesnt mean the person is not like you, you should hate her. Doesn't mean she is not your type, you hate her. While writing this now,I realise whatever my sister said is probably Maharaj speaking to me. Any advices on how to just not have hatred for people that are not on the path of sikhi. It's maharaj testing me and I need to learn. While writing this there are so many mistakes that I have made, please do forgive me sangat.
  4. When I was younger (teenaged) I used to wonder why gurbani would talk of the mind wondering and having 'doubt' about Guru/God etc As we get older is it natural to have this battle with the mind ? Is it the 'innocence' of childhood that means you just have a stronger faith ? Is it because you develop a deeper mind that actually works against your own faith as you get older (I mean say between aged 18+ into middle-age). I'm not saying I am agnostic, but I find myself battling and questioning my mind a lot. Is it because life is 'complicated' at this stage with lots of responsibilities? I have the impression from around age 60+ the opposite happens and the mind becomes more like it was when in childhood Has anyone else found the same, or even completely different ? Which Bani will help my mind stay on track ?

    Help to maintain my Sikhi?

Vaheguru Ji, In my house, only me and my are amritdhari; other family members is my dad and friend who is living with us temporarily. So basically, I try to read as much gurbani as I can but my dad and friend think I'm crazy lol. Just because I don't get that involved in their worldly affairs, I'm less of a human being. Sometimes my ego kicks in and I missing my amritvela because I want to please my dad or friend by staying up late with them. I never missed nitnem with gurus kirpa and I want to keep it this way. So my question is how do I make them understand that Sikhi is important to me? How do I answer questions such as "you only have interest in Sikhi and that's it?" Or some times they ask why do you follow all these rehits? I just want them to understand my lifestyle isnt like theirs. They think I live a weaker/sadder lifestyle tham them. Remember, they are regular Punjabi people. I try to explain the rehit as outline as well with gurbani time but it just doesn't go through. Need a simple practical way to approach this. Thanks

  14. 'Only the just man enjoys peace of mind' - Epicurus This seems true to me. But at the same time, we don't experience peace all the time, it's every now and then. So what does this mean? Like when we feel peace, means we are fair-minded and faultless even though we do something not right (on emotional level) unwantedly, like being rude, keeping distance from the person who you doesn't get along with well as a result of that person's wrong done to us. But all this time, you never wish ill of that person just want to cut ties. Is this right? Please input your views.
