  1. So I’m new to tying a pagg, and a lot of my relatives tie them (particularly the uk/Kenyan style or normal Wattan wali pagh). I am a school student in the uk but I don’t have enough time every morning to tie a perfect looking Dastar, and if my turban (which is my crown and pride) doesn’t look it’s best, then I cannot perform my day to day tasks (including school work) effectively and will not have confidence. They all starch their Turbans to save time, and they look very nice on the Uk/Kenyan style Paags. Please could someone tell me how to do this? I know some Sikhs are against the idea of starching turbans and label them as “topis” or “against rehat”, but please only respond to this question with information regarding HOW TO STARCH A PAGG. (Detailed instructions preferred). I’d like to know how to starch the turban, how to wash the turban later after I starch it and also how to care for a starched turban. I use Mal Mal and full voile (and occasionally Rubia voile). Many thanks, WJKK WJKF
  2. Why we are called Sikhs? Sikh name to Sikh religion which Guru Ji gave. I am Sikh since generations. I am proud of being a Sikh. Sikhism is the best modern and progressive religion. Non Sikhs ask me and I want answers for the following questions. 1. Which Guru Ji started Sikh religion? 2. In which year Guru Ji started Sikh religion? 3. At which place Guru Ji started Sikh religion? 4. In which place and year Guru Ji declared that my religion name is “Sikh” 5. In which place and year which Guru Ji declared that my religion is a separate from others, and it is a separate Kaum also. If any Guru Ji made Sikhs a separate Kaum (nation) he must have written in SGGS. 6. Is our Sikh religion a religion or Kaum (nation) While answering please mention name of book and page, edition year etc. I tried very hard to find answers to these questions from old Janam Sakhis, Panth Prakash, Gur bilas, Suraj Prakash, Guru Granth Sahib, Bhai Gurdas Ji and Dasam Granth also. But no where it is written about my questions. Please do not quote from Modern history books. Please help me.

The questions involve eating meat, drinking, and sex from a scientific perspective and historical perspective I am also looking for someone whom I can debate with on Sikh Channel TV on these issues.
