  1. We always say "Nanak naam chardikala, tere bhaane sarbat da bhala". We just say it, but never pay attention to what it really means. Obviously it has more than one and deep meaning. Everyone according to their level conceives it. "Nanak Naam Chardikala" - Guru Nanak Sahib ji ne jehra naam/shabad dita hai "waheguru" ya jiwein aapan kehnde han "Dhan Guru Nanak Tuhin Nirankar", onu japan de naal hamesha chardikala rehndi hai, kyonki "waheguru" naam ta aap chardikala da saroop hai ate saareya nu chardikala bakhshan wala hai. "Tere Bhaane sarbat da bhala"- sareeyan da bhala howe, par howe tere bhaane vich, teri raza vich, jiwein tu chaunda hai. Bhul chuk maaf Sanagat please share views.
  2. Guru Pyaari Sadh Sangat Jio...Vaheguru Ji Ke Khalsa! Vaheguru Ji Ke Fateh! After having many deep conversations with other Amritdhari's and non-Amritdhari's dass is intrigued to know how fellow Amritdhari Singh's and Singhnia do Vaheguru Jaap/Simran. Each person's journey and connection differs as well as their preferences, so it would be nice to hear and share these. Svaas svaas Simran is something we all try to do (well we should - even if it means we have to keep reminding ourselves) but what techniques and how do you do meditation when you take time out to do it properly? What method/technique is used? What do you think about? How do you sit? What do you wear? Do you sing, speak or remain silent? What tune or speed do you recite to? How do you feel before, during and after? These are basic questions but I think it will help Sangat that maybe don't have Naam or don't know how to go about it. Admin ji, maaf karna if similar topics have been posted previously. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa! Vaheguru Ji Ke Fateh! "Saas Saas Simro Gobind, Mann Anthar Kee Uthray Chindh".
  3. So I have been meditated for a few months now, I have recently started to get very tired after I have been meditating - this wasnt problem when I started meditating. Anyone know what reason I feel so tired?
  4. Wahegurujikakhalsawahegurujikifateh There was a Bhagat from Lahore called Chajju. One day at his door two labourers were stood outside. At the time it was raining. Bhagat Chajju looked at the labourers and asked why they were stood outside his door. They looked at Bhagatji and said that they work for a living outdoors doing labour. Their condition was such that when they didn't work, they didn't eat. They explained to Bhagatji that when it rains they don't find much work. As a consequence they had come to Bhagat Chajjuji's door in the hope of finding some work. Bhagatji invited them into his house to offer them work . He said not only will I feed you - sugar and koi - but I will pay you double your usual rate. Bhagatji offered 8 annas instead of the 4 annas the labourers were usually paid for a days work. Bhagatji then sat the two labourers down, gave them malas and said sit down and doing abhiyaas of Raam. At the end of the day Bhagatji fed the labourers and paid them 8 annas. He then told them come here daily and partake in this work and I will continue to pay and feed you in this way. The labourers looked at Bhagat Chajjuji and said this work is too difficult to do. We would rather lift and break stones than do hard manual labour than this work... Loose translation of Katha by Sant Gyani Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji Bhindranwale Why is it so hard? 9. it’s well understood that sarabloh holds naam well. hence the washing or guru gobind singh jis shastar and the drinking of that amrit. However cotton malas resemble the hairs (rom) that are god given to all humans for the kamaaee of naam. Doing simran 50 billion billion times a second is what rom rom simran is as, there are this many hairs on the human body (what a gift!). I understand that guruji says let all my hairs become my mala etc... and kanth ramaneea raam raam mala (my throat is my mala).... and also that u don’t need a mala to jup naam .. ! but!! I want to talk about the ‘mala side’ of things.. if this makes sense. So I guess my topic of debate is, when doing simran, which mala is best to use? (From the angle of a comparative viewpoint of sarabloh malas and cotton malas) Don’t knock the topic if u don’t like, jus don’t post!
