  1. This Pew Research Center study describes the religious makeup of India’s population, how it changed between 1951 and 2011, and the main causes of the change. The analysis focuses on India’s three largest religious groups – Hindus, Muslims and Christians – and also covers Buddhists, Sikhs and Jains when suitable data is available. Hindus make up 79.8% of India’s population and Muslims account for 14.2%; Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists and Jains account for most of the remaining 6%. Between 1951 and 2011, the share of Muslims in India grew modestly, by about 4 percentage points, while the share of Hindus declined by about 4 points. The shares of Indians in other religions held relatively steady. Muslims are growing somewhat faster than other groups because they tend to have more children. https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2021/09/21/key-findings-about-the-religious-composition-of-india/
  2. What if I told you that the slavery on sikh people is because of something we did not do , and that in the long run there's one quick fix to more than half of the issues sikhs face today. And that quick fix is this : 1) Higher rate of reproduction, 2) Proselytization , 3) Preaching to orphans .' 1) Higher rate of reproduction In the latest indian census, Sikhs as a group were the ones who had the lowest fertility rate. It means Sikhs are having lesser children than hindus or muslims. Not surprisingly , muslims had the highest fertility rate . Whenever I encouraged Sikhs to have more kids per couple, the usual nonsensical , condescending reply I got was one of the following : 1) Muslims are R-type species, while Sikhs are K-type . In plain words, it means we prefer quality over quantity . However the argument is rather ludicrous . Sikhs of today can't claim the good, old , oft-boasted "1 sikh = 125000 enemies" . Its a no-brainer our people have anything but quality. Would the people who make such ludicrous argument would rather be happy if Sikhs became an exotic, rare-to-be-found community like the zoroastrians . Money of all the world , but no future to look to . 2) Muslims have multiple wives , so it makes it easier for them. Ok, fine , but what about the christians rapid growth-rate in india ? They manage to get a heavy majority in many north eastern states without having multiple wives. Their sword is capturing the orphans and the needy. I have always asked Sikhs what stops us from having more than 1,2 kids per couple ? I never got a satisfactory answer. Its a fact that in a democracy your numbers dictate your political power. In every country , there're the sell-outs , the leftist who will pander to you and your needs , only if you have the votes. As the saying goes, "either be a note bank or a vote bank" . Else politicans couldn't care less about you . We see it in europe, we see it in india and elsewhere. Its a fact, when will out simple sikhs realize this ? The reason politicians don't pander to sikhs is because we hardly make a mark in their political votebank. The votebank of pandering goes like this : One would think its a common sense that the number of kids once have will have a domino effect once you go down generations , something like this : In the first case, the so called nuclear family , look at the degrading domino effect which is suicidal for a sikh population . In the second case, its merely maintaining the population. The 300% growth rate actually happens in third case If you think I am being ridiculous , lets not forget our gurus too had atleast 3 kids . Guru Gobind Singh ji had 4 children. And the sikhs after that had even higher number of children , some as high as 12 or 15. The reason muslim population is so successful and causes terror in hearts of those who wish them ill is because of their humongous birth rate. Just look at how many kids the famous saudis had , you will be shocked ! 2) Proselytization This is another place where we're totally nullied ourselves. We like to preach that we don't preach ! I guess this is another fukra symptom in our community that we just wanna sound good to outsiders, esp amongst the elite , and give ourselves an exotic feel in front of people . However the Sikh gurus themselves had manji system in punjab which were nothing but centers of preaching. 3) Preaching to Orphans Why should we not preach to orphans ? Forcible conversion is against sikhi, however if christians can raise kids under them as christian , why we despite so much money can't pull sikh orphanages to sikhi-ize kids out there. Infact we're doing their halat-palat good , meaning now and the hereafter good by raising them and preaching them sikhi. Having said this , I think there's a great probability most of those young sikh men would just cut off their hairs and turbans off once they grow up . I think sikhi by its nature is not meant to be followed by the masses, esp vast majority of men who find the uncut hair , uncut facial hair and turbans uncomfortable.
  3. This is a complex topic and im sure has many different view points. I am not going to say I am an expert in this field. But having researched the topic slightly these are my findings. Exactly how many Hindu were forced to convert to Islam under Mughal rule and also Voluntary conversions? There is often a big misconception. Lets look at the statistics. According to the official 1951 census of India which included present day pakistan. The demographics of India were the following 303 million Hindus and 35 million Muslims constituted the entire country. This was before it was split into two. Muslims constituted 11 % of the entire population of india at that time. These stats lead me to believe that the overwhelming majority of Hindus did not convert to Islam like alot of people think. it was only 35 Million who did. Obviously this is still a big number. But how did the muslim population increase so substantially after this period? The answer is simple. Muslims in India subcontinent on average have 3 kids whereas hindus have 2. You many think that 1 extra child is not going to make a huge difference. But in reality it does. If theres 100.000 Hindu women and 100.000 muslim women and the muslim woman has just 1 extra child that means theres a 100.000 more muslims being born. That one extra child when added up makes a huge difference. Not only will there be more muslims due to the extra child but then that child will also reproduce and so the population increases further.
  4. Islam is projected to become biggest religion by numbers. Mainly due to muslim population having a median younger age then other religions. This is a quite significant. The fruits of historic forced conversions is paying off for the muslims. For instance indonesia was originaly buddist and hindu country. Now its all muslim. Same is true with nigeria. Once it was all christian now half is muslim.
  5. I must say one impressive thing about muslims is their numbers, atleast here in india ! the way they multiply sends shivers down these right-wingers lol Why are sikhs so shy ? Why don't we have many kids . Most governments today are democratic which means numbers is power. No politician cares for sikhs because we don't have numbers But at the same time if you look at jews, they have lesser numbers but still power. Muslims, christians and hindus have quantity, Jews and parsis have quality. What about sikhs?
  6. As per the India religious census data of 2011, released by the Registrar General and Census Commissioner on Tuesday, the total population of India back in 2011 was 1.21 billion people. Currently in 2015 the population of India is estimated to be just under 1.3 billion people. In 2011, the Hindu population was 966.3 million (79.8 per cent); Muslim 172.2 million (14.2 per cent); Christian 27.8 million (2.3 per cent); Sikh 20.8 million (1.7 per cent); Buddhist 8.4 million (0.7 per cent); Jain 4.5 million (0.4 per cent), Other religions & persuasions (ORP) 7.9 million (0.7 per cent), religion not stated 2.9 million (0.2 per cent). The proportion of Muslim population to total population has increased by 6% by 2011 from 2001, the census data said. The proportion of Hindu population to total population in 2011 has marginally declined by 1% between 2001 to 2011. Falling most of all the Sikh population proportion declined by over 10% in the period between 2001 to 2011. There was no significant change in the proportion of Christians in India between 2001 to 2011. As per the 2001 census, India's total population was 1.029 billion of which the Hindu population comprised 827.5 million (80.45 per cent) and Muslims were 138 million (13.4 per cent). Christians in 2001 stood at 24 million (2.3%) of the total population and with Sikhs being 19.2 million (1.9%) back in 2001. The growth rate of population in the decade 2001-2011 was 17.7 per cent. The growth rate of population of the different religious communities between 2001-2011 was as: Hindus: 16.8 per cent; Muslim: 24.6 per cent; Christian: 15.5 per cent; Sikh: 8.4 per cent; The distribution is total population by six major religious communities namely, Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain besides 'Other Religions and Persuasions' and 'Religion not stated'. Is it now about time that we focus on the basics of where our Panth stands in relation to social indices and the problems of female infanticide, drugs, biraderi apartheid, cancer, illiteracy, alcohol and poverty affecting us. With the Sikh population projected to decline to below 50% of the Punjab as a result of state-sponsored Balmiki and Dera Ballan apartheid mandirs re-classifying current day Sikhs into tomorrow's Hindutva slave votebank is it not about time that we focus everything upon uplifting the Panth rather than focussing on the same tired old sloganeering that has not achieved anything meaningful against the apparatus of a terrorist state which is backed and supported by the USA, Russia, China, UK, France, Canada, Australia, Japan, Italy etc. Hindu's in 1984 numbered around 600million whilst Sikhs numbered around 15million back then. Hindu's in India now number over one billion people and Sikhs in India are just over 20 million as a result of the systematic exlusion of sehajdhari non-Punjabi Sikhs from the Sikh Panth's population figures following on from the 1950 Maryada definition of a Sikh that was welcomed deliriously by Nehru, Congress(Indira) and Hindutva forces. Because at a stroke exluding tens of millions of Ravidassia's, Kabirpanthi's, Satnami's, Sindhi's, Balmiki's, Banjara's, Hindu Punjabi's (who had all previously been accepted as Sikhs on account of attending Gurdwara's and respecting Gurbani) prevented, from our opponent's point of view, a Sikh population in excess of 100 million back in 1984 (that Indira Gandhi would never even have dared to provoke) let alone how many Sikhs there could have been today in 2015. We can still get to the stage one day if instead of sending sincere Gursikhs to voluntarily rot out their lives in jail when our opponents get their goons to do Beadbi, we instead make sure to distribute 100 Gutke in non-Punjabi languages to disseminate the truth of Sikhi further and wider among the poor of India, Asia and Africa primarily. It's about time we look for reasons to welcome and include people within the Sikh Panth rather than looking for every possible reason to exclude people from being included as fellow members of the Sikh Panth. If our opponents succeed (due to our lack of action and urgency in tackling the issues that affect us by concentrating on the wrong priorities) in reducing the Sikh percentage of the Punjab population to below 50% by 2021, then it is almost inevitable that the following assault on the Sikh population will be to re-classify all sehajdhari Punjabi Sikhs as falsely being non-Sikhs. So that the opponents of Sikhi can permanently define Sikhs as a permanent demographic minority even within Punjab and as always they will use our own frontmen to inflict this damage on our Panth.
