  1. We are all shocked to hear and read about the sickening terror attacks on Isreal by mindless, crazed religious fanatics of Hamas that are supported by Iran and others. I am not saying isreal are angels but theres no justification for they did to children, elderly and women. What Hamas did was what many have faced in times gone by when sword of islam wiped out whole religions and peoples as they were considered a "non believer" with devestating consquences. We witneseed babies throats being slit, children shot, beheadings and cruelty the world has never seen at the hands of these low life scum of the earth. But what happened in isreal only a few days ago was not just an attack on Jews or Isreal. This was an attack on the whole of Humanity. But most importantly and significantly this was not just an attack on the Jewish community alone, but on the whole non muslim world. Yes you and me were attacked only a few days ago. The way the world is at the moment is that it is split in 2 distinct enties and peoples. There are two distinct and very different kinds of people on earth. A non muslim and a Muslim. A clear divide has emerged and it is time people decided which side of the fence they are sitting on. Any attack on a non muslim by muslims is an attack on us all. The whole world needs to unite to eradicate the extremist element of islam. Its going to take unity from Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists and Sikhs and even people that dont have a faith to unite against these evil doers. Non of us can single handedly take on the extremist. When a Buddhist is attacked it is an attack on us. Thats how we should see it. The muslims have unity yet we non muslims are un unified and that is whats is making us weak. Anywhere in the world when the sword of islam strikes on a non muslim all non muslims need to get together and fight these people. Or other wise we are just going to be the next target down the line. Its time we set up a non muslim global defense league or combat force to stand togther in times when minorities are attacked by these fanatics All over the world. Currently muslims are trying to take over countries and enforcing sharia and their religion on others. While us non muslims sit back and watch it happen. Its time for actions. But what lacking is unity. We non muslims dont have its time all non muslims looked at each other and see our common beliefs that we share and try and become more unified and strong. Otherwise prepare for a an islamic world in every country.

  6. Life of an outcast – Only a few will relate by Butch Singh As I sit here in my jail cell knowing I will get out when I am an old man with white hair, I reminisce of the days our unit was tight and full of life. The days we had belief and confidence in our own people. We were naive, fresh and full of energy, from the streets we got into the Sikhi scene to make a difference to the onslaught that our community was facing. But first we had to wake people up on to what was happening, what a task that was init self as our community likes to bury their heads in the sand. When you try and wake people up instead of support a lot of Sikhs will claim that you are attention seeking (until <banned word filter activated> hits their doorstep then their tone changes). I used to read Sikh history and two things that stood out were Granth and Panth. These are the 2 things that make a Sikhs mentality unique. They also gave all our past shaheeds their strength and passion. The Mistake us naive reformed Sikhs make is that we think that both Granth and Panth are still there. Obviously the Granth is still here as the Gurbani has not been changed and the power is the same. But the Panth has gone weak; there are so many divisions, views, and hidden agendas, that the Sikh community is only a community in theory on paper. When you read Sikh history and do not have much experience with modern day Sikhs you assume everyone is on the same Panthic vibe as the ancient Sikhs, but the deeper we got into it the more we found out, that not many had the pure Panthic spirit that was once there in our past. That same spirit which made our History Glorious was missing from the majority of nowadays Sikhs. If you look at our history it is not surprising we had so many warriors, it was the community spirit and hope that gave you a certain percentage of bravery to fight wars for your people. Nowadays we have so many victims and rarely ever any warriors, the media is full of incidents of Sikhs being victims, but very rarely do you see a heroic story. The truth is a lot of people have lost hope in the community due to bad experiences and tend to live as outkasts as they feel rejected and do their own thing. When most of the community is doing their own ting, there is a gap in information and help (community cohesion). When there is a gap like that it becomes a community’s weakness and produces uneducated and unaware Sikhs who become easy targets. It is hard to shout out unity when the core of the so called Panth (if that even exists these days) is corrupted with haters, egos, hidden agendas, snakes, Fakes and backstabbers. Bad experiences lead you to become isolated from and bitter towards your own community. When you reach this stage you tend to lose hope in your community and live your life as an outkast who is weary and never opens their heart like they once did. When your own community hurts you and betrays you more than your enemies do, what do you expect to produce from such results? When I look around I see more and more outkasts that are losing hope in their community. There are too many issues within our own people that have broken our community spirit and are pushing people away from Panthic thinking. Some wounds are too hard to heal especially when the same wound has been opened up many times again and again. I am not writing this as a negative article, or to push people away from the panth. I am relating the reality of how some people as such as I feel. It is sad that we have become outkasts but this is the times we live in. Your sincerely Butch Singh, HMP Brixton 01/11/2013 P.s Happy Bandi Chor Diwas, and May Sikhs free themselves from the doom and gloom that we cause to our own with our foul ways! This article is not some cry baby <banned word filter activated>, it is unfortunately how a lot of people from the streets feel! I have heard about Khalsa Aids work for the shaheeds families of 1984 that is a step in the right direction to heal the wounded spirit. We trust no worldly authority and are never blind to the flaws of worldly governments; all my real Singhs stay true.
  7. Block 32 in Trilokpuri is well known whenever we talk about 1984. Around 500 Sikhs were massacred in just this one block in less than half an hour. However, it is also known that they put up a tough fight for the mob before the deceptive cops came and asked them to go back to their houses and also disarmed them. These Sikhs trusted the cops and the result is in front of us. In the neighboring block, the Sikhs refused to trust the police and were able to save themselves upto a better extent as compared to Block 32. A similar incident happened in Sarai Rohilla area of Delhi where the Gurdwara Sahib was attacked 8 times on a single day from morning to afternoon but each time the Sikhs pushed back the killer mobs. Khalsa ji, what have we learnt from this? What is our biggest weapon which our enemies fear and cannot fight? Its our UNITY! Sorry I do not have any strong rhetorical words as I am not a politician, but the evidence is right in front of you. Whenever we have been united and have put up a strong front, our enemies have been shocked. Whether it was Chamkaur Sahib, or Saragarhi, or the battle of Amritsar of June 1984, or some of these incidents of November 1984, they provide us a priceless lesson. UNITY! If these examples are old and outdated for you, no problem. Look what happened in March 2012. Bhai Rajoana was to be hanged on March 31st, 2012. Sikhs from all over the world UNITED for maybe a week or a little more than a week. The might of the united Sikh qaum was strong enough to make the Indian government put Bhai Rajoanas hanging on hold. I vividly remember how firmly ALL Sikhs came together and roared in one voice. THIS is EXACTLY what our enemies ALWAYS fear and ALWAYS try to damage, our UNITY! Now the truth is before your eyes. Stay UNITED! I agree we have several internal issues which we cannot resolve any time soon. It may take a good couple of generations to find a resolution to our internal issues. But please, take a lesson from our Misls, our ancestors who like normal human beings did have differences with each other over several issues, but when it came to the Panth, when it was about fighting the enemy, they all UNITED. Who do you think the 40 Singhs were at the battle of Chamkaur Sahib? They all came from different so-called castes and even different parts of what is today India! Yet, they put all that aside and embraced Shaheedi together. Today we sing their glory but forget one of the strongest emotion that kept them going, UNITY! Mehtab Singh Nov. 4th, 2013
  8. Hopefully all other jathebandis will follow.. ------------- Head of Damdami Taksaal, Singh Sahib Giani Ram Singh Khalsa Bhindranwale, visits Singh Sabha Gurdwara Derby to meet AKJ UK Executive Committee members to discuss ways forward to work together in uniting the Panth and tackling the following issues: 1) Gurudom 2) Rising Patit-punna (Apostasy) 3) Crime, Drugs and Social Evils in Panjab 4) Hatred and controversy being spread and Maryada differences being manipulated in the youth on Facebook, or media 5) Respecting Sri Akal Takht Sahib Maryada and not opposing it Baba Ram Singh Ji discussed in the meeting that the historically Damdami Taksaal and AKJ have had a lot pyaar, and the differences on issues like Raagmala and Mool Mantar has never been an issue and nor debated by the early Singhs. Baba Ji was concerned at how youngsters could use these issues to create divide and hate. Baba Ji said AKJ used to come to Mehta to do Keertan and Taksaal Singhs attended Rainsbaayees.
  9. So Why Sikhs don't have any unity? What is it? Lack of leadership? or lack of individual responsibility? lack of individual conviction? lack of individual self-confidence? lack of individual security? lack of faith? lack of tolerance? (Ever notice how western nation leaders gracefully debate with each other on t.v and at the end- still shake hands and hug each other? lack of objectivity? lack of constructive criticism than attack- character assassination/personal attacks/intimidation? lack of ultimately inner rehat? Please share your input...!! :D :D
  10. Vaheguru ji ka Khalsa, Vaheguru ji ki Fateh Sangat ji, you may not have heard of "Everythings 13" a sikh educational charity, however some of you may know about our YouTube channel "Basics of Sikhi". Most of you may not be aware that (with Guruji's kirpa and aagiaa) we're embarking on a new and comprehensive project to spread Guruji wisdom across the UK and Globally. Its called Plan BE13. Here is what our channel has on it currently.. Here is a video about Plan BE13 for 2013 Essentially we are hoping to do a 5 stage process of Parchar (1) Getting people into Sikhi (already happening) - Talks at Gurdwaras and Sikh Societies at colleges and Universities to interest youth/others into Sikhi and bring onto youtube channel - Spreading word about the Youtube Channel using facebook, twitter and and getting people into watching videos about Sikhi when they have spare time (there are around 80 videos on our youtube channel already) (2) Building a solid foundation (already happening) - holding a One Day Course +Kirtan Katha called "Re-Assessing the Fundamentals - Vaheguru, Guru and You" at various Gurdwaras (first one is due at Park Avenue Gurdwara Main Hall on the 29th December 2012) - 12 topic introductory course to Sikhi - called the WhyGuru Course. This course goes through the history of Sikhi from Guru Nanak to the present day and also has 4 separate topics which cover Guru Granth Sahib ji, The Khalsa, Raag Kirtan and Sikh Spiritual concepts of merging with the Divine. We already delivered this once in May this year and it was a success. (there is a video about this on our channel with video testimonials - we had 5 non-punjabi people attend. One lady, ex-muslim convert has now taken Amrit). (3) Learning Basics of Gurmukhi (planning done, needs filming) - A series of videos that goes into Why its important we learn Gurmukhi and How does Gurmukhi work? (Penti Akhar, Moharni) - Series of common vocabulary in Gurmukhi and how the words are put together - Basics of Santhiya - Slow paat, in video format with downloadable MP3s (4) Japji Sahib Vichaar classes (already happening) - We're doing weekly English katha of Japji Sahib and with Guru's kirpa are at the 34th Pauri. - Katha will be transcripted and put into an ebook format - Set up Japji Sahib Vichaar classes at variour gurdwaras where attendees would learn in their own time (watch the video, read ebook, watch/listen to other recommended katha (English by Bhai Sukhraj Singh, Punjabi- Maskeen ji, Giani Pinderpal Singh etc) and then come together for the vichaar class at their local gurdwara (ie build a sadhsangat) to discuss Japji sahib, pauri by Pauri. (5) Further Study (to be developed as part of Plan BE13) - More Gurbani Katha - planning on Rehras sahib and Asa Di Vaar - Basics of Kirtan and Tabla - Attend an intermediate level - "WhyKhalsa WhyFateh Course" In terms of funding, our parent we've raised about £18k of our £52k target for 2013 already. 99% of this has come from the sangat, (mostly youth and non-amritdhari). We're not charging anything for katha or the courses, as we see this as Spiritual Langar (Bhugat Giaan) which should be given freely and be dependent purely on Sangat kirpa (daeaa bhandarani). Read more about the specifics of Plan BE13 here: http://www.virginmoneygiving/charities/everythings13 Please do ardaas for us to Satguru that we stay on this path and stay true to Sikhi. Thanks for reading ji, bhul chuk maaf Vaheguru ji ka Khalsa, Vaheguru ji ki Fateh
  11. IT IS TIME TO MAKE A CONCERTED EFFORT TO ACHIEVE A FREE PUNJAB! THIS REQUIRES ACTIVISM IN THE INTERNATIONAL MEDIA AND POLITICAL FORUM. HOWEVER, THAT WILL NOT BE SUFFICIENT TO ACHIEVE JUSTICE OR FREEDOM. WE NEED TO HURT INDIA ECONOMICALLY BY BOYCOTTING AS MANY HINDU PRODUCTS STARTING WITH THE BOLLYWOOD CRAP THAT SO MANY OF YOU "SOLDOUT PUNJABIS" ADORE SO MUCH! WE CAN ALSO PUT PRESSURES ON HINDUS LIVING AMONGST US OUTSIDE OF INDIA (LET'S MAKE LIFE HELL FOR THEM. WE NEED TO STOCKPILE ARMS AND TEACH GATKA/COMBAT TO OUR YOUNG. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY WE NEED TO GET OUR SIKH BROTHERS TO TURN THEIR BACKS ON INDIAN MILITARY. THIS MUST BE FOLLOWED BY REACHING OUT TO ALL ENEMIES OF INDIA INCLUDING MAOISTS, PAKISTANIS ETC (MY ENEMY'S ENEMY IS MY FRIEND). INQUALAAB IN PUNJAB.....LONG LIVE THE RESISTANCE.....RAAJ KAREGA KHALSA!
