  1. Announcing the next major release of Shabad OS! Dhan guru nanak dev ji de 550 salan parkash purab diyan lakh lakh vadhaiyan! (Wishing you trillions of increased blessings for the prosperous, respected, guru nanak's 550th parkash anniversary) (prosperous, prosperous, prosperous servant's arrival / whose gracious gift saves all humanity from drowning) Features include greatly improved live captions stability, separated settings window for easier management, more natural and effective search result ordering, etc. One of the greatest things is that the hundreds and hundreds of corrections made by our team to improve gurbani's accuracy is finally available to everyone through this desktop app. The Shabad OS database is publicly corrected and has a historical account of all changes made. The latest changes include citations of physical sources, page numbers, and images to verify the accuracy of gurbani between the physical source and digital database. These database improvements will be downloaded to Shabad OS without requiring another major release for the desktop app. Be rest assured that the Shabad OS database is one of (if not the) most accurate representations of Sikh guru's, bhagat's, poet's writings ever! Volunteers have dedicated and will continue to dedicate hours of scrutinizing comparisons between physical sources and the digital database to ensure that we have scholarly levels of accuracy. Beyond this we are now hoping to get as many gurdware using Shabad OS with a full support team to set-up projectors/livestreams. Simply go to https://shabados.com and download for your platform!!!
  2. Looking for tech savvy sevadars - I want to get an app developed in ionic or react native (that works on all major platforms), that would notify every 1 hour (or another interval configured by the user) with a gurbani quote and small blurb about how to incorporate the teaching in their day to day life. I do have the database of about 70 tuqs for now but will keep updating it regularly , the app will update its database from the central source every week or so. This way technology will help us stay constantly in touch with the guru and we will spend more of our breaths in a connected fashion.

  7. With Guru Maharaj's Apaar Kirpa the Akal Design team is proud to announce iGurbani for iOS devices. This app requires no internet connection and contains all of the Sikh Scriptures. The focus of this app is to allow the user to accurately read the shabads from the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji following a revolutionary style of showing the vishraams. Instead of commas and other punctuation the vishraams are highlighed in a specific color. PLEASE NOTE: Since the Gurmukhi is from a new source and the database has been rebuilt from the ground up there are some errors that we could not catch during development. We are going to rely on the Sangat to help us identify and correct those errors. Scriptures 1. Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji 2. Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Ji 3. Bhai Gurdas Ji Vaaran 4. Bhai Nand Lal Ji Translations ENGLISH - Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa - Bhai Manmohan Singh Ji OTHER TRANSLATIONS - SGGS Darpan (Prof. Sahib Singh Ji) - Bhai Manmohan Singh Ji - Faridkot Teeka VISHRAAM - Baba Darshan Singh Ji (Mallehwal) - Baba Jaswant Singh (Bhagat Ji) For more information please visit http://www.igurbani.com/about. CURRENT STATUS: The app has been submitted to the Apple App Store and is currently Waiting for Review.
  8. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa! Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh! I'd like to get one of the two Punjabi/Gurmukhi dictionaries, PunjabiKosh or ShabadKosh, for my iPhone, but I wanted to know if one of the two is more comprehensive or includes the other entirely. Does anybody happen to know the difference between the two? Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section; I wasn't sure where else to post it. Thanks in advance for your help! Vaheguru Ji Ka khalsa! Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh!
