ਭਾਈ ਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਕਲਮ ਤੋਂ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ੧. ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰਮੰਤਰ ਹੈ , ਇਸਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ | ੨. ਸਿਮਰਨ ਫੋਕਾ ਸਾਧਨ ਨਹੀਂ , ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਦੀ ਰੀਤ ਹੈ | ਨਾਮ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਪਣਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ | ਜੇਹਰਾ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਏਗਾ , ਓਹੀ ਰੱਜੇਗਾ| ਸਿਮਰਨ ਰਸਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਜਪਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ , ਫਿਰ ਇਹ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ | ਨਾਮ ਜਪਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਬਰ ਤੇ ਨਿਮਰਤਾ ਦੀ ਬੜੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ | ੩. ਸਿਮਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਉਤਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਬੁਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਤੋ ਸੰਕੋਚ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ | ੪. ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ – ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਡੇ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਹਰ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿਚ ਅਸਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ | ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਮਲਤਾ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ , ਚੰਗੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਦੀ ਤਮੀਜ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮਨ ਬੁਰਾਈ ਤੋ ਪ੍ਰਹੇਜ ਕਰਨ ਲਗ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ | ੫. ਸਿਮਰਨ ਪਹਲਾ ਮੈਂਲ ਕਟਦਾ ਹੈ , ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਮਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਦਾ | ਜਦੋ ਮਨ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਰਸ ਆਉਣ ਲਗਦਾ ਹੈ , ਫਿਰ ਛਡਨ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ | ੬. ਮਨ ਚਾਹੇ ਨਾ ਵੀ ਟਿਕੇ , ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣਾ ਚਾਹਿਦਾ ਹੈ | ਜੇ ਨਾਮ ਜਾਪਦੇਆਂ ਮਨ ਜਰਾ ਵੀ ਟਿਕ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾ ਥੋੜੀ ਗਲ ਨਹੀਂ, ਮਨ ਪੂਰਾ ਵਸ ਤਦ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਜਦ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ | ੭. ਮਨ ਟਿਕੇ ਜਾ ਨਾ ਟਿਕੇ , ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣਾ ਚਾਹਿਦਾ ਹੈ , ਜੋ ਲੱਗੇ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ, ਓਹਨਾ ਲਈ ਓਹ ਸਮਾਂ ਵੀ ਆਵੇਗਾ , ਜਦੋ ਮਨ ਦਾ ਟਿਕਾਓ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ | ਜੋ ਤੁਰੇ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ , ਭਾਵੇ ਮਧਮ ਚਲ ਹੀ , ਓਹਨਾ ਦੇ ਮੰਜਿਲ ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ | ੮. ਸਿਮਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਆਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਜਾਣੇ , ਜੋ ਸੁਆਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਂਦਾ | ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਧਰਮ ਹੈ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਨਾ| ਸਦਾ ਰਸ ਤੇ ਹਕ ਨਹੀਂ | ਰਸ ਤਾਂ ਕਦੇ- ਕਦੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਝਲਕਾਰਾ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਦੇ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾ ਕਿ ਬੱਚੇ ਡੋਲ ਨਾ ਜਾਣ | ੯. ਨਾਮ ਪਾਪ ਤੇ ਦੁਖ ਕਟਦਾ ਹੈ | ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੇਹ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਅਰੋਗ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਵੀ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ , ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਅਸੀਂ ਅੰਤਰਮੁਖ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ | ੧੦. ਨਾਮ ਜਾਪਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਨਿਰਮਾਨਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਰਹੋ | ਨਾਮ ਵੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਹੈ , ਇਹ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਕਰਾਗੇ ਤਾ ਨਿਰਮਾਨਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਾਗੇ | ਨਾਮੀ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੀ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ , ਜਦੋ ਕੁਝ ਬਰਕਤ ਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾ ਸਿਖ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਤੋ ਖਬਰਦਾਰ ਰਹੇ , ਕਿਓਕਿ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਨੇ ਮਤਲਬ ਲਈ ਵਰਤੇਗੀ | ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਆਦਮੀ ਨਾਮ ਤੋ ਟੁਟਦਾ ਹੈ| ੧੧. ਨਾਮ ਜਾਪਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਰਿਧੀਆਂ -ਸਿਧੀਆਂ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ | ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੇ ਓਹਨਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਖਾਵੇ ਤੋ ਬਚਨਾ ਹੈ ਤਾ ਕਿ ਹਉਮੇ ਨਾ ਆਵੇ | ਹਉਮੇ ਆਈ ਤਾ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਰਸ ਟੁਟ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ | ੧੨. ਰਿਧੀਆਂ -ਸਿਧੀਆਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਨਾਈ , ਵੱਡਾ ਓਹ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਨੂ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਰਸ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਜਿਸਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਆਧਾਰ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ | ੧੩. ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਵਾਰ ਨਾਮ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜੇ ਫਿਰ . ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਹਿਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਕਰੇ ਤਾ ਇਹ ਸਮਝੋ ਕਿ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਸਫਲ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮੈਲ ਕੱਟ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ | ੧੪. ਰਸਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਇਕ ਵਾਰ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਹਿਣ ਤੇ ਜੇ ਦੂਜੀ ਵਾਰ ਕਹਿਣ ਨੂੰ ਜੀ ਕਰੇ ਤਾ ਚਾਰ ਵਾਰ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ੁਕਰ ਕਰੋ , ਜੋ ਉਸਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂ ਨਾਮ ਬਕਸ਼ਿਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੈ | ੧੫. ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣਾ ਇਕ ਬੋਹਤ ਵੱਡੀ ਨਿਆਮਤ ਹੈ , ਜੋ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ , ਜਦੋ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜਪੋ ਤਾ ਉਸਦਾ ਸ਼ੁਕਰ ਕਰੋ , ਜੋ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ | ੧੬. ਜਦ ਸੁਰਤ ਚੜਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾ ਮਾਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ , ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਸਮਝਨਾ ਹੈ | ਜਦੋਂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਰਸ ਆਉਣ ਲਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾ ਕਈ ਲੋਕ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਗ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ | ਇਹ ਪਰਮਾਰਥ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿਚ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਹੈ, ਇਸਤੋ ਬਚਨਾ ਚਾਹਿਦਾ ਹੈ | ੧੭. ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਅਭਿਆਸ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਰਮਾਰਥ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਤੇ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ ਇਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਇਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੀਆਂ ਹਨ :- ਇਕ ਵਾਰ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਆਖਣ ਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਹਿਣ ਨੂੰ ਜੀ ਕਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਦਿਨ-ਬਦਿਨ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ਼ ਵਧੇ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਘਟ ਜਾਣ ਇਕਾਂਤ ਵਿਚੋ ਰਸ ਆਵੇ ੧੮. ਯਾਦ ਰਹੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੇ ਅੰਤ ਤਕ ਨਾਮ ਜਾਣਾ ਹੈ , ਸੋ ਇਸਦੇ ਜਪਣ ਦੀ ਅੰਤਮ ਸੁਆਸਾਂ ਤਕ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ | ੧੯. ਆਪ ਪੜ ਲਇਆ .... ਧੰਨ ਹੋ... ਹੁਣ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਦੋਸਤਾਂ, ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰਾਂ, ਸਾਕ-ਸੰਬੰਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਭੇਜ ਕੇ ਪੁੰਨ ਕਮਾਓ । ੨੦. ਹੁਣ ਜਪਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰੋ...... ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ...... ਜਪੀ ਚਲੋ ਸਵਾਸ ਸਵਾਸ .....ਰੁਕੋ ਨਾ... ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ...... ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ...... ??ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸ਼ੇਅਰ ਕਰੋ ਜੀ??

Today, 5th December marks the birthday of Great Sikh Scholar and Maker of Punjabi Literature - Bhai Vir Singh ji. Here is a short glimpse of his life: Bhai Vir Singh (December 5, 1872 – June 10, 1957) is known as a ‘Maker of Punjabi Literature’ and hence ‘The Sixth River of Punjab‘. He was a poet, novelist, editor, exegete, historian and a journalist. He was the leading figure in the Singh Sabha, the dynamic Sikh renaissance movement in early 20th century Punjab. Bhai Vir Singh was born into a family of scholars, and he grew up in the holy city of Amritsar. He finished his Matriculation winning the district boards gold medal. When he was still at school, he was married to Bibi Chattar Kaur. Considered to be the harbinger of modern Punjabi literature, Bhai Vir Singh wrote prose, novels, poems, plays and historical research. He also started publishing Khalsa Samachar, the first Punjabi daily. Through the pages of Khalsa Samachar, he tried to bring about social and religious reform such as importance of education, equal rights to women, abolition of the caste system, and so on. He established the Khalsa College in Amritsar, and with the help of Wazir Singh, he set up a lithographic press in Amritsar in 1892. The following year he started the Khalsa Tract Society with a view to serving the country and the Khalsa Panth. He was a great scholar not only of Sikhism but also of Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity and Islam. Bhai Vir Singh also edited and published Prachin Panth Prakash and Janamsakhi, the life-story of Guru Nanak Dev. He organised the Chief Khalsa Diwan, a representative body of the Sikhs for bringing about religious and social reforms. SInce very few cared to get themselves educated during his day, he formed the Sikh Educational Committee for spreading of education. Bhai Vir Singh inspired novelists like Nanak Singh, Bhai Mohan Singh Vaid, Charan Singh Shahid, Master Tara Singh, and Gurbakhsh Singh. Panjab University conferred on him a doctorate in Oriental Learning, and the Sahitya Akademi awarded him its first annual award for outstanding contribution to Punjabi literature. He was also awarded the Padma Bhushan. He was nominated member of the Punjab Legislative Council in 1952. Bhai Vir Singh was the most important writer and theologian in Punjabi who expounded Sikh history and philosophy for more than fifty years. He is regarded as the Bhai Gurdas of the twentienth century. His most important works are Guru Nanak Chamatkar, Kalgidhar Chamatkar, Baba Nodh Singh and Meray Saeeyan jeeo. His poetry possesses the sublimity of Milton, the spontaneity of Wordsworth, the music of Tagore and the mysticism of Yeats. He was the ‘finest flower’ in the renaissance of modern Punjab. Dr. Vir Singh sang of the struggles of the village folk. He wrote poems on freedom and patriotism. Bhai Vir Singh was very versatile. He was poet, novelist and critic. He found spiritual lessons in the objects of Nature. The Kikar Tree is a symbol of the spiritual seeker who must face the slings and arrows of worldly people. His poetry throbs with the longing of the individual soul to rejoin the Universal Soul. The hurdle between man and God is the Ego. Once that is subdued, man may meet God, face to face. He would find beauty and God’s presence in the ordinary things of life. He believed man could find peace and bliss through self control and spiritual effort. Dr. Vir Singh was also a historical novelist. His important works in this genre are Sundri, Bijay Singh and Satwant Kaur. Their popularity, is such that they have been reprinted many times. Bhai Vir Singh was not only a philosopher but also a stylist. Even his prose captures the dignity and harmony of poetry. Kalgidhar Chamatkar is full of purple passages. A registered society, Bhai Vir Singh Sahitya Sadan, is now busy publishing his works and popularising them among the masses. His centenary was celebrated in India and abroad in 1972. Bhai Vir Singh’s creative talent was recognized by the government and the Punjab university. He was given the title of Padam Shri by the Gov. of India and a Honorary Doctorate by the Punjab University. H. pyaari sangat ji, i am posting this video here...its called Pyaare da pyaara...its written by bhai vir singh ji...it would be very helpful for your spiritual jeevan i highly recommend listening it and u would get so much ras from it...i was glued to my laptop until it finished.... such a vairaag ...please listen to it with ikaagar mann and u would be left with a wide smile on ur face at the end.... waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh!
