  1. Video of Harmandir Sahib Hazoori Ragi Performing Kirtan in Front of Idols Surfaces OnlineBy: Sikh24 Editors ACCRA, GHANA (November 26, 2013)—A video has surfaced online showing Hazoori Ragi Bhai Sarbjeet Singh “Laddi” doing kirtan at a temple in front of Hindu idols. The temple also includes parkash of Guru Granth Sahib Ji—against Sikh traditions—and the idols are clearly visible. As per unconfirmed information received by Sikh24, the recording is from the Sindhi Temple located in Accra, Ghana. Sindhis are followers of the Hindu religion however they have respect for the Sikh religion, especially the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. They often do parkash of Guru Granth Sahib, however this practice goes against the teachings of the Sikh faith, which is against idols. In the the video that has surfaced online, Bhai Sarabjeet Singh is doing kirtan of “aarti” in which such practices are shunned. Bhai Sarabjeet Singh’s actions could possibly lead him in to trouble with the Akal Takhat Sahib and the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee which have in the past asked Ragi Jathas to not do seva at places where idols are placed.
