International Sikh Conclave A Sikh international conclave will be held at Patna from June 8 to 10 as part of the 350th birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Gobind Singh. ---------------------------------------------------- गुरु गोविंद सिंह के 350वीं जयंती समारोह को ऐतिहासिक बनाने के लिए पर्यटन विभाग इंटरनेशनल सिख कांक्लेव आयोजित करेगा। होटल मौर्या में आठ, नौ और 10 जून को आयोजित इस कांक्लेव की मॉनीट¨रग स्वयं पर्यटन विभाग की प्रधान सचिव हरजोत कौर कर रही है। इसमें जयंती समारोह को ऐतिहासिक बनाने की रूपरेखा तय होगी। देश-विदेश के 300 सिख धर्म के प्रतिनिधि भाग लेंगे। ब्रिटेन, कनाडा, अमेरिका, आस्ट्रेलिया सहित दो दर्जन से अधिक देशों के सिख श्रद्धालुओं को आमंत्रण भेजा जा रहा है। पूरे विश्व में जयंती समारोह के प्रचार-प्रसार के लिए रणनीति बनाकर इसकी सूचना केन्द्र सरकार को भी भेजी जायेगी। कांक्लेव में टूर एंड ट्रेवल्स, कलाकार, अभिनेता, नेता, समाजसेवी, केंद्रीय मंत्रालय के प्रतिनिधि सहित समारोह से जुड़े हर वर्ग के लोग भाग लेंगे। ------------------------------------------ दरोगाराय पथ में बनेगा सिख हेरिटेज एंड रिसर्च सेंटर ------------------------------------------ राजधानी में सिख हेरिटेज एंड रिसर्च सेंटर खोलने का फैसला पर्यटन विभाग ने लिया है। दरोगाराय पथ में इसे खोलने की तैयारी शुरू हो गयी है। दानापुर स्थित गुरुद्वारा हांडी साहिब और नारियल घाट का आधुनिकीकरण का काम पर्यटन विभाग ने शुरू कर दिया है। इस योजना को पूरा करने के लिए चार करोड़ रुपये आवंटित किए गए हैं। Source - https://www.facebook.com/events/986659994703881/

wjkk wjkf This is my first post. I am chanan singh from Delhi. My question is regarding the wannabe sikhs and punjabis that I see everyday. It really makes me sick. Everyday in Delhi/India we can see Biharis/UPites who listen to punjabi music, the grow trimmed beards and try to talk in punjabi and sound foolish. They do not understand sikhi nor do they follow sikhism. They are all about spitting paan. Most of them visit gurudwara for selfie pics. What to do about them? How can I stop being irritated by these kinds? Is it a bad thing that punjabi culture/lifestyle/music and movies have become mainstream... so much so that these kind start copying/mocking it? Although I shouldnt be jealous/angry, but long time back I had to visit Patna, Bihar to go to Patna Sahib. I got into an auto rickshaw, and a supposed sikh brother was the driver. I started to talk to him in Punjabi and he had a bihari accent. I asked him why he said hundreds of biharis are converting into sikhs. Umm I dont understand why. Is there an ulterior motive? If I discuss such issues on facebook... these biharis tell me that Guru Gobind jee was born in Patna and I shouldnt discriminate. Im not discriminating. its those wannabe honey singh biharis I think that are idiots. Your thoughts?
