  1. The Sheikh Farid of gurbani is this man http://www.sikhiwiki.org/index.php/Sheikh_Brahm who descends on the spirtual throne of sheikh farid who came 200 years before guru nanak dev ji but sheikh brahm met guru nanak dev ji. But what kind of person was brahm, was he a true muslim doing his namaz following islam properly trying to give dawah to guru nanak with kitman and taquia holding back and acting tolerant? Or was he a sincere follower of guru nanak rejecting his previous throne? What context is his bani? Does guru ji supercede his bani or is he equal to guru nanak dev ji? If he is equal why not just follow brahm and not over burden ourselves with too many spiritual peers and do namaz? If we were to do namaz shoulder to shoulder with muslims this would solve our political problems with pakistan and save thousands of people from being killed in the near future over religious divide. If we truly respect sheikh brahm and see him as a path to khudha why not embrace him all the way? If sheikh brahm is a muslim why is he praising guru and using the terms of gurmat? jo gur dhasai vaatt mureedhaa joleeai |3| The disciple ought to travel the route, pointed out by the Guru. ||3|| Sheikh Farid SGGS 488 Again Sheikh Farid or brahm the "muslim" is talking about reincarnation in islam that's kuffar aaj milaavaa saekh fareedh ttaakim koonjarreeaa manahu machindharreeaa |1| rehaao | You can meet the Lord today, O Shaykh Fareed, if you restrain your bird-like desires which keep your mind in turmoil. ||1||Pause|| jae jaanaa mar jaaeeai ghum n aaeeai | If I had known that I was to die, and not return again, " sheikh farid sggs 488 Fareed the literate sheikh of islam the muslim is talking about karma a law which goes with you into next lives again kuffar "fareedhaa jaa tho khattan vael thaa thoo rathaa dhunee sio | Fareed, when there was time for you to earn good karma, you were in love with the world instead." Sheikh Farid sggs 1378 This seems to be dialogue between guru nanak and sheikh farid when the verse was revealed and waheguru sent it down and the term gurmukh is used this doesn't exist in islamic philosophy or the koron "ho tootaedhee sajanaa sajan maiddae naal | I search for my Friend, but my Friend is already with me. naanak alakh n lakheeai guramukh dhaee dhikhaal |121| O Nanak, the Unseen Lord cannot be seen; He is revealed only to the Gurmukh. ||121||" SGGS Sheikh Farid 1384
