Gurdwara Committee Members

Sangat Ji,

I've come across many times that when there is a problem that needs to be sorted at the gurdwara Commitee members dont act as quickly and responsibly as they should. I've seen many times committee members just roaming around having nothing to do and just chat about general social life rather than the issues about the Gurdwara Sahib itself.

Is this just me stereotyping or are all commitee members like this?

u are steryotyping...its not all its most...i've seen some doing things they are supposed to be doing

I rekon in most cases there are mainly those types that dont know what the hell theyre doing but just go into the commitee. I can remember when the local Gurdwara toilets, both male n female, needed re done they were realy bad the sinks didnt have any water, half of the toilets couldnt flush, so a request was made to the commite members to sort this prblem out. They took no notice of it until the whole community had 2 face up 2 them. It took us like 4/5 years just to get the toilets done.

some committees do what they're supposed to... but.. many don't... somtimes the case is just certain committee members are corrupt... like most gurdwara's don't even have any sort of system set up for finances... like... no book-keeping or what not... some committee members scuffle money from the gurdwara itself... imean... its happened at the akaal takht itself...
