lemmi ask u, r lips practical? they too seem to get in the wa of ur food and ur mouth

lol thas not a very good argument...

plz elaborate

this is an analogy between lips and beard.

a) tehy both part of face..

b) they both are in the way between food and mouth

c) they both r equally not needed 4 eating (unless u a buddha... but even then ull use ur gums lol)

Differences

a) beard is long(usually) lips r short (in sum cases big)

b) lips get burnt on contact with hot food.. beard dont

Thats it.. According to the above, the analogy is true since the similarities over weigh the differences. Therefore, this analogy is true.

What makes an argument? reason+persuasion+conclusion. i cna see all three in the above argument. can u?

man critical thinking does wonders 4 u tongue.gif

Soz 4 going oiff topic im in a funny mood wacko.gif

but you do need your lips to keep your food inside your mouth, without them it wuold fall out. yet having a beard is irrelivent as the food is chewed and swallowed inside the mouth not outside. The only difficulty would be actually entering it in the mouth. Where when the beard overgrows it can cover the lips and make it difficult to enter food into the mouth, unless you are one skilled individualed avoiding hair like trying to avoid jelly fish (finding nemo refrence here)

"Are Beards Practical - they seem like they'd get in the way when eating and stuff."

Are you kidding me? how can you pose such a question on a Sikh message board.

Were all those sacrifices made by our people practical?

it is good to be a challenge. makes sikhs even stronger. dont look at who this question is coming from just think about what u would say to that.

yes those sacrifices were practical because the outcome of them was very effective

Sat Sri Akal:

Answer is simple if you are addressing someone non-Sikh. Whether they believe in God or Evolution, it is on the body through necessity. Evolution states that things not necessary are slowly reduced in size and disappear...hair on human heads is longer than other primates. Religions with faith in God...hey, God made it, you smarter than God?
