Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Writing post in reply of the Lust-going crazy topic in Gupt section that didnt allow me to send post so i decided to put in here

Im telling you from experince this is how i got rid of my lust:

-Dont give yourself a chance to think about lust when you think you going to start think of lust just start saying waheguru or repeat the mool mantra.

-The other thing you can do is just remind yourself God created these ppl and therefore thier holy so try to think desiring them/thier body is a paap

-N another thing that will help is try to Think that these people are innocent and try to think what thier reaction will be if they found out you desired thier body? N think to yourself who gave you the right to desire thier/someones body without them giving you permission? (permission from them for you to desire there body is given when your married with each other).

-N another thing is try to think what your close ones (family ect) would think of you if they found out you were like this.

-N another thing you can do is keeping remind yourself the differnce between you WOULD LIKE to stop your lust and you WANT to stop your lust

-N another thing you can do is try to understand Gurbani alot more n listen to shabad Kirtan alot more n when you keeping listening to it you will fall in love with it n when you do you will keep on just wanting Gurbani n not lust.

-N another thing you can do is before going to sleep is leave the curtains open and switch off the light and repeat mool mantra or Gurbani shabads until you so tired you will fall asleep fast-then you will have no time to think about lust. (THAT WILL HELP YOU GET CLOSER TO GOD N FEEL BETTER ALONG WITH GETTING RID OF YOUR LUST) n think your not going to let the 5 evils beat n win you.

N in the morning soon as you wake up- Just keep on saying rab da naa.

One of maskeenji's katha came to mind. He said that what paap we do outside in society, which is not hidden, is voisible...then the public is there, police, laws are there to punish us, eg. whther its stealing, rape, murder whatever. We do the act carefully aare we can get caught.

But the paap we do in our minds is hidden from there sources and also we do it so often fearlessly knowing...'no one knows whats in my mind'...God knows and everything is being written down and especially what were thinking and we will get punished in the court of God accordingly.

Maskeen ji said 99.9% of us are great paapi's but only 20% are punished here by laws in this world and so many of us walk around free from the clutches of the society but who will saveus from the laws of God. Do we really want to hug burning hot plates, cause according to bani thats what happens if one tinks about the most sex most of his or her time.

I'm just as bad as anyone else, guru ji help usall because especially at this age it can be difficult ,need to be strongcontrol our minds and read and understand gurbani as much as possible.

The Guru Granth Sahib Ji does not talk about getting rid of Kaam but controlling Kaam (Lust) and being the master of Kaam! Lust initself is an unhealthy obsession with sex, but this does not mean we seek to destroy the naturall sexual act itself, which leads to procreation. The ability to CONTROL is far stronger than the ability to destroy! :e:

um thats true  but less detail please, it is our guru's your're talking about so a minimum about this topic on them will suffice dont you think grin.gif thanx

Less detail? I didn't not produce any detail whatsoever in my previous post.

I expect members on this board to be mature, act mature and be able to discuss topics in a civilized manner.

I have not disrespected our Guru's, read my post carefully. This is a common problem on this forum. People try to read between the lines but fail miserably and totally misinterpret the message.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
