I Want To Buy Laptop, Any Suggestions?

I want to buy a laptop but I don't know anything about them really, so tell me what brand I should get and what specs are good to have.

Basically I need the following functions on it since that is all I really use:

Windows XP

some kind of Intel Pentium thingy

Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint

Windows Media Player

Real 1 Player

Adobe Acrobat Reader

Internet Explorer/Mozilla Firefox browser

Wireless Card

CD rom drive/cd burner....mabye DVD burner too

floppy disk drive

lot of space to store files/documents/Kirtan!

fast computer :lol:

and I want a photoshop program, any suggestions whats the best out there? thank you!!

oh and not some 10 pound laptop, i can't lug that around, thats like 1/10th my weight ...something lightweight plz, and good battery life too.

Go to OpenOffice.org for the word processing software.

Be sure it's a wireless-G card that's built-in.

As opposed to a floppy disk drive, consider purchasing a USB key: much faster and more storage than a floppy.

The Gimp is similar to Adobe Photoshop. There isn't free software out there that's anywhere near as powerful as Photoshop, but we want to stay legit, don't we?

I'd help you look for an actual laptop but, I'm sorry, I don't know where you're from.

also.. Adobe Photoshop CS2 is the best photo or image manipulation software out there.
