The Standard Banner is the responsibility for each town/city - the suggested wording is:

'Release Sikh political prisoners and end the death penalty in India'

The suggested wording for the Standard Placard is:

'Light a candle to show the importance of life, freedom and your opposition to the death penalty'

Placards used in the protests outside the Indian High Commission (March 2003) are shown below (two at a time).  Some may not be totally appropriate, but feel free to use these ideas or any you have of your own.  However, keep it simple:

wolverhampton & walsall sangat will come together in wolverhampton; most likely near to the main university campus; for transport arrangements from walsall please contact Sukhvinder Singh (number on above list) or pm me or mail me at gurjyd@hotmail.com anyone around wolverhampton willing to distribute leaflets etc and put up posters also get in touch please; meeting should be arranged soon at Guru Nanak Gurdwara Sedegly St Wton - will confirm date/time soon as
