Please enlighten this moorakh on the point of organizing such an event.

First you will forget to invite a smaller jatha such as rara sahib, nanaksar, or the many other smaller jathebandies. and you shall also get it into the minds of the youth, i have to go to this program and represent taksal/AKJ, otherwise other jathaebandies will think my jathebandy is messed up.

if u really want to make a difference what you are going to do is to run camps that all youth come too, or jsut do normal prachar that increases respect for one another. If you havent notcied all major jathaebandies come to all the youth programs in the T.O. area. But what affect has this had. i honestly believe there is more hate now as a result of this than there was before. All i ever hear is that such an such jathebandy thinks they're ill now, look how they show up to this program. Ekta will now be achieved like this. Until prachar is done showing the youth that they need to believe "hum nahee chunga, buraa nahee koee" nothing will be accomplished.

If you look at universities in TO area now, ppl from all jathebandys are friends because they have no one of their jathebandy clsoe to them so they instead of seeing the differences between eachother, they see the similarities. If you keep putting youth in a situation where they see the differences between their jathebandy and others, obviously they will grow to find reasons to not like others and stay within their own jatha.

Just come to Western, and you'll see that no two singhs have the same beliefs as eachother, yet everyone has enormous amounts of respect for eachother, because they are forced to interact with eachother and end up seeing eachother as Sikh and not AKJ, Taksali, Nanaksar or some moderate.

Lastly, what happens as a result of these programs is that people that believe in ekta in the first place, and are part of no jathabandy are made to feel more inferior and left out.

Instead of focusing on these big programs, i believe all efforts should be made to first act locally with your own friends and small communities, and eventually everything will take care of itself.

the sad truth is... that some people don't WANT ekta... some people go out of their way to CREATE problems rather then help fix them.. there are those who would rather just stick to 'their own' jattha/sangat.. and do not bother to work towards uniting the panth.. some people don't want to let down their 'ego' and refuse to budge from their own ideologies... the thing they don't realize is that their actions are hurting the panth ... and they also don't realize that even with our (small) differences we can still have EKTA... but they just don't have the respect for eachother that is required for this unity..

I wonder what these people will do when the day comes where we ALL have to fite side by side.. will they refuse to take up arms with their fellow gursikh?... or will they cowar away and refuse to help one of 'their own'...

people....i said this in another post... times are bad... they're only getting worse... what we gotta focus on is seva, sangat, simran... we gotta focus on EKTA.. along with bani, we need to learn discipline ... gatka... there will be a time where we will ONLY have eachother... then what?... will we still allow our own ego's to hate on those we are meant to love?... will we not stand proud as the KHALSA and protect one another?... if we would STICK TOGETHER when the time comes, why not start now?.. .why wait for that 'day of reckoning' to become united...

also... there will be times when we will not have access to Gutkas or pothis'..... learn gurbani... memorize ur bani's... one story that never ceases to amaze me is the story of back when Guru Gobind Singh jee along with his fauj were being tracked by the mogul army... Guru jee stopped in the forest.. and said 'okay, we will not continue until we have done our nitnem'.... his soldiers were wonderstruck sayin 'Guru Jee, if we stop now the mogul army will catch up to us'.... Guru jee refused to continue until they completed their nitnem... there will be a time where WE will be in that situation... we will not have access to gutka's... so we should also learn our bani's off by heart..

WE are Guru Gobind Singh jee's fauj.. we gotta start stickin together NOW.. hopefully people realise this in time... hopefully this upcoming sanjha samagam will help open peoples eyes...

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa! Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!!

For 13 years I spent my time in jail fighting my internal evils. From the Sangat

across the world I have received love and respect. I thank you from the bottom

of my heart for the love and respect you have showed me over the years. {Bhai

Kulvir Singh describes here the politics in Punjab that conflicted with Sikh

Dharam during 1984, the attack on Sri Harminder Sahib in 1984, and November

Delhi Riots in 1984.} The plan that was created in 1984 and the Shaheeds that

were born during that year still continues to this day.

Guru Ji's Sangat went through a lot of unnecessary pain during that year, and

still feel that pain today. Different politics played a different role during

1984. Our freedom fighters: Shaheed Bhai Beant Singh, Shaheed Bhai Satwant

Singh, Shaheed Bhai Harjinder Singh, Shaheed Bhai Sukhdev Singh Sukha, and many

more Shaheeds sacrificed their lives for Sikhs today. Today we have the duty to

take the example of their sacrifice and think about what is happening today, and

how to handle it according to Sikhi. When a country or a religion declares war,

there is no time limit. There is no end to the conflict. The ideology of each

group determines what will happen and what will be resolved. But we have the

responsibility to understand what our belief says to us, and act justifiably

according to our Dharam.

The love for my family and for my religion gave me the will to spend 13 years in

jail with no regret. With Guru Ji's Kirpa and the love of Sikhi I am living my

life and the time I will spend in jail in Chardi Kala. Politics and religion

will be in conflict in every country. This battle is everlasting. But through

the dislikes, conflict, and my past life I have learnt a lot. I feel for the

mistakes that happened during the early years of our fight. In today's world, no

matter what role you play in society, if you are a leader, a jatha, or a regular

person, you have the determination to create your home, and for Sikhs, our home

is Khalistan. For Sikhs today, I request that you put aside your negative

thoughts and take on the responsibility to do Seva for our Panth. If we continue

to do bad things in our life, time and history will not forgive us if we keep

repeating our mistakes. We should get together, and stand united and then we

will be successful in the future. We need to

join with the new generation and forget about our hatred towards each other. We

need to teach them about our history so we can achieve to the greatest. If we

stick together our Quaum will be happier and successful.

Although we live far away from the country where Khalsa was born, we should

teach Sikhi in our newly founded countries. It is every parent's duty to teach

our children about Gurmukhi, Paath, and Sikhi. My beanti to the Sikh Quaum today

is, please detach yourself from drugs, alcohol, anti-Gurmat behavior, such as

gossiping, and attach yourself with the Guru Ji's Bani, and live your life

according to Waheguru. If in our newly founded countries we are going to create

Sikh Gurdwaras, Khalsa Schools, and Sikh Community Centers, we need to create

these places according to Sikh Rehet. We shouldn't follow idols or leaders, we

should follow our Sikhi. Even when idols and leaders are wrong, we are so

blinded and in denial that it can't be in the wrong, that whatever that idol, or

leader says it must be right. To avoid being manipulated by idols and leaders we

need to be alert about their wrongdoings. Achieve this through Guru Ji's Bani,

Naam, and Simran.

When playing sports, it should be according to Sikhi and should be conducted

with the grace of God.

Save your money and spend it wisely, do not spend it on unnecessary items.

Instead, we should spend our money on to those who need it, such as for instance

for poor people, disabled people, and orphans.

When planning to do something we should gather the Sangat, and get advice from

everyone and work together to go all the way through with our plan that we

constructed together, as Guru Ji's Sangat. Please do not gossip about others,

and don't bring up past memories to stir up trouble. There is no point in

bringing up the past to create problems for your family. Think about the future,

and think about how you will get through it with your family and Sikhi. Do not

socialize with those who have negative thoughts but surround yourself with

positive people. Before you start to think badly about others, you need sit down

and think about it before you accuse them or gossip about them. For instance, if

we are going to talk about others' weaknesses we need to take a look inside, and

see; do we have the same weakness, do I have other weaknesses that can make

other people talk about me? We need to understand that when we gossip about

others, we should expect to be talked about too.

In the past we distanced ourselves from GuruJi's teaching and became a weak

Quaum. If we stand together, with our Guru Ji's teachings, we can achieve our

goal. However, if we believe that one person can achieve a goal alone, them we

are fooling ourselves. Without Guru Ji and without a Home, our Quaum is in deep

trouble. So, please, we need to get together, and with Guru Ji's teachings, our

thinking, shakti, simrantha, and responsibilities, should be in line with

GurSikhi Jeevan.

For our Sikhi and our home, everyone needs to get together, and do Ardas to our

Guru and pray to help our Quaum. "Akhar Vadha Gata, Bhul Chuk Maf Karni. Sarbat

De Karaj Rase Karne. Sei Piare mel, jinhan milian tera Naam chit avai. Nanak

Naam Chardi Kala, Tere Bhane Sarbat da Bhala."
