Excuse my poor English, I meant the sakhi shared at the top of this thread... The Arrow of Guru Gobind Singh aka Chess Sakhi, this Sakhi is shared on many sites but no source... 

 

There is *a* version of the sakhi in Sooraj Parkash, so i guess my question is...

Is there only one version of this Sakhi via Sooraj Prakash and the Sakhi at the top of this thread is an attempted translation 

or

is The Arrow of Guru Gobind SIngh Sakhi in multiple sources? and if the answer to this is yes, then i would appreciate if someone could share those sources. 

Have you tired PDL for the gurmukhi version of parchiaa?

Sorry, it might have been me not reading the thread properly. 

You know I just flicked through Parchian now and couldn't find the shooting arrows in the table leg sakhi myself? Maybe need to read it more closely or maybe I got sources mixed up? 

I tried looking on PDL a few times in the past for the original Gurmukhi of parchian but never found it. 

You know I find it remarkable that at this point in time, Sikhs haven't done a serious, indepth study of the sources of many of the sakhis we grew up. They just seem to be 'out there' but we are overdue a closer look at our earliest written ithihaasic sources and a clear exposition of the sources of our sakhis. 

I know a few have been occluded too. Apparently Bhai Vir Singh didn't include any of the sakhis about Bidhia Chand in his edition of Bhangu's Panth Prakash. I think we'll find out so much that we don't know when such a serious study of early sources takes place. But it is no easy task as we have such a variety of language therein, like Khari Boli, Braj Bhasha, and mixtures involving the lexicon of various languages, plus the use of now archaic words.

While there are differing measures of the gold on these arrows, historical accounts and physical inspections confirm that each arrow had at least 10 grams of gold. M.A. Macauliffe puts the value of the gold on these arrows at sixteen rupees each.
