Whats More Selfish

I've been thinking, sometimes at night during the weekday you need to use the toilet at like 2am in the night when your parents and fmaily are asleep after a hard day at work. Well so you use the toilet and then you think should I flush it and maybe wake up/disturb people who are asleep or should I put the lid over the toilet and let the person who uses the toilet in the morning see the surprise? In both ways it would be selfish, which is the best often to do AS THE LAST RESORT!!!
