Am I correct to assume that patients who want euthanasia are only alive with machines and medicines keeping them ticking?

So if one were to abandon these things, it's not exactly suicide in my opinion.

I recently had to study euthansia for one of my essays so know a little about the subject. Euthanasia doesn't only apply to people on life support machines but also includes those who are suffering from a terminal illness such as motor neuron disease.

Euthansia is further divided up into active voluntary euthanasia and passive voluntary euthanasia. Active voluntary euthansia is where active steps are taken to end a life. In contrast passive voluntary euthanasia is where treatement is refused by the patient even though they will die without it.

I would say that Sikhi is almost certainly against active voluntary euthansia. I am not sure about passive voluntary euthanasia but would think Sikhi wouldn't be against it.

This is my opinion but I may be totally wrong!!!
