i think you all need to take just a minute, before judging anyone. I have gone to see darshan das many times, at no point did they slate sikhism in fact they promote it. By taking quotes from it and then explaining what it means in depth and how much respect we should be giving towards Gurubani. By sitting down and listening to what they are saying and not being in the kitchen talking about people and making food. I have found going to many temples that, the temple has become a soical club were all women seem to do is talk about clothes and other familys, kids running around, people going for 5 mins and then going. I have seen with my own eyes the prists of many temples that eat meat and drink and then go the next day and read the Gurubani, that hurts me so much, that i stopped going to the temple, i thought to myself these people don't really care. Then i started to go and see darshan das and my faith was restored and i started believing again. They respect the gurubani so much. I have learned a great deal from them about our faith and how much respect should be given. They explain all the teachings of all 10 gurus. So i don't understand why people say he is dividing and teaching wrong things, when they only promote the gurnbani 24/7 and do no wrong.

Erm, thanks but we already have a religion called SIKHSIM to do that, perhaps you've heard of it...

no ones answred me yet no.gif , is he ded ir alive?

Toon udha dudh chungraan? Just kidding Veera :e:

Darshan Bakwaas is dead he was shot! His son is alive and preaching

In reply to the above quote, want to add that Guru Ji did have one sikh fight sava lakh. Guru Ji did not 'barely manage to escape' but left under the hukam of the Panj Pyare (correct me if I am wrong) which means Guru Ji was going to stay and then maybe even fight. When one understands that Guru Ji treated their family and sikhs as one then one begins to understand why I claim to have faith in and love for Guru Ji ( not any normal individual I don't think).

lol let me point something out ji.

Learn to read between the lines. That was put up to silence that prat persona who seems to have nothing original to say but uses his brain when it suits him.

If you have something to say against the points made above, then lets please hear them???

Did I miss something? I agree with what the person above had written so why must I say something against those points?

Its well enough listening to the Gurubani, but you need to know what is being said. We all know the basic teachings but not all. The prists never explain each line, each word in depth. You probably get 5 mins were he goes over roughly and its mostly the same as they keep changing. Being a young sikh its hard to understand when the gurubani is being read what it means, as its not in basic panjabi. When you are young you learn things from your experiences and what you see. Looking at what i saw at the temple i thought it was ok to eat meat and drink as long its not done in the temple. Go upstairs sit down for 5 mins and then go downstair and have some langer chat and go home. By going to darshan das i have learnt alot, and now when i go to the temple i know and understand the teachings, i sit there for hours and listen and i feel peaceful inside. I don't eat meat, drink or anything like that, as our bodies are temple too, cos god lives within us all, you don't want to be a walking grave yard. They never big them selfs up, its like going to school you have one master and then teachers and pupils. The master is the gurbani, and we are pupils of the gurbani. Darshan das is just a teacher. They don't want to be workshiped, they say workship the gurbani, gurbani is everything. They are joining people to the faith. I think you should go and see for your self and do research and speak to them and clear up and understand what they are doing. Its well enough reading things about them on the internet its not fact, or hearing things about them from people.

Do the followers take Khande Bhate da Amrit? or is it pick 'n' mix?

no ones answred me yet no.gif , is he ded ir alive?

Passed away? Blown away more like....

That above post has made my head hurt. Please re-edit so at least it will make sense! >>>

Seems, like you're not reading what i've written. Why do they need a dera/bhavan or whatever they call it? When there are Gurdwaras they can preach in. And why be called 'Darshan Das' instead of what his name is E.G Darshan Singh Khalsa (doubt he was a khalsa) And what's the point of the tilak, Where in the Gurbani does it state that?

why do u think people turn to a dera to appreciate and understand their religion through a different medium? if a giani preaches from gurbani daily, and then indulges in meat aand drink in the evening (yes ive seen it with my own eyes!!!), why would one sit down and listen to what HE is preaching when the giani cant comit to his faith himself? 'they should practise what they preach' and this is the problem. this deters followers from the temple and they find an alternative method of folowing and practising their faith. this is not a result of brainwashing from the baba. many find it easy to point the finger at others. why cant we admiit that the 'rumours' we here bout politics, about giani's, etc ARENT JUST RUMOURS. truth hurts and it is very sad that this happens in our own sikh temples. this is why people are fed up with this atmosphere. they find inner peace elsewher whilst still reciting satnam wahiguru and doing their simran devoting themselves to NANAK. doesnt have to be via a giani in a gurudwara.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
