In 1651, Guru Har Rai Sahib Jee and his family and 2200 Sikh men were traveling by horse from Kiratpur Sahib. On route to Kartarpur Sahib, Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji stayed at a place where there is now a Gurdwara called Harian Bela for 3 days. Very close to Harian Bela, resided an individual by the name of Baba Prem Das Ji Parjapatt. When word spread that Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji's are at Harian Bela, people from near and far came to be blessed by Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji.

Baba Prem Das Ji Parjapatt tended to the care and looking after of Shri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji's horses. Baba Prem Das Ji Parjapatt fed the horses green vines with roots intact as that was all he had to offer at his home. The horses were noticeably content and Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji asked Baba Prem Das Ji Parjapatt what he had fed the horses. Baba Prem Das Ji Parjapatt replied that all he had in his home to offer for the horses was green vines.

Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji was pleased with the care that had been provided to his horses and in return Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji blessed Baba Prem Das Ji Parjapatt with the blessing that "Forever more the vines will remain green and be rid of any ailments with proper meditation". This blessing was to be carried to Baba Prem Das Ji Parjapatt and anyone who had true humbleness to allow for the creation of their families.

To this day the vines have still remained strong and green and are now surrounded with a metal cage (to protect the same) directly in front of the Gurdwara Sahib. The Gurudwara Sahib is built about 5 feet behind the encased green vines. The green vines are still entwined around the Date Tree to which Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji had tied his horse to, in 1651.

A short distance from the Gurudwara Sahib is the "Sarowar" designated area for meditational bathing. In 1651 Shri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji pierced the ground with his arrow to allow for water (as at that time there was no water supply anywhere near the area).
