Sikh Awareness Society in Association with www.SikhHelpline.com

Request your presence at Guru Nanak Dev Ji Gurdwara, Luton, Bedfordshire.

Sunday 2nd April 2006 at 12pm

This one-off presentation will discuss social issues that affect ALL Sikh Families.

It is ESSENTIAL that all parents with children from the ages of 11-25 attend.

“The Sikh Awareness Society will discuss in detail one particular issue that has torn-apart many families in our community”

We know of countless incidents of Sikh youth who have been influenced by members of fundamentalist groups who deliberately target our youth to undermine Sikhism. Parents and family members of these youth usually have no one to turn to for help or support, as it is considered ‘taboo’ or shame on the family.

We MUST break away from this vicious circle of silence, and as Sikh youth, we must take responsibility for the welfare of our brothers and sisters.

We have taken it upon ourselves to address this issue. Anyone who feels they are victims of this kind of activity, or knows of a brother or sister in need of support or guidance, we will not hesitate to help. Anything discussed will be treated in full discretion.
