What is the original name of this sacred script given by the Gurus?

What made Sikhs to call the holy script with so many different names?

The true name of the Guru resides in Naam and listening to that "sound" current...that is the true name.

don't you mean the original Adi Granth compiled by Guru Arjan Dev ji and later becoming the Guru Granth Sahib, the eternal Guru as instructed by Guru Gobind Singh

Before being compiled into SGGS it was called Pauthi Sahib, each guru ji gave it to his successor

dont know about you I havent really herd other names for Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

Note: Guru = teacher, Sahib and Ji and other words are signs of respect

People may add words such as "dhan dhan" at the front, in effect to "bigup" Guru Ji..They are not different names

Eg: someone called Jarnail

there can be...

Bhai Jarnail Singh Ji

Bhai Sahib Bhai Jarnail Singh Ji

The Gurus have put a lot of efforts to save the holy scripture from changes.

How did it come that the holy scripture got so many changing names?
