Now days men are retarded and tend to give up anything for a view of a woman and they have no honour in protecting women in the sence of what it was like during the Gurus times.

porno graphic images has messed up society beyond repair, and alot of men are addicted to it. I think there are corrupt people who visit Harimandir to think everything they have done wrong gets fixed because of the visit, and they would be the ones looking towards the women. I like that womens dignity is protected from the coverings, if they didnt have it I would stand back towards them as a human wall to protect their modesty, all Sikh men should feel this way but then again most people on this site are too young to even understand. Men just strip down to the kachas and dip in the sacred water while women have a different form of kachas for above the waist and guys now days are immature even if 30-40 yrs old.Men need to grow up.

I have a daughter and I think of all other women as how I protect my daughter.

Men need to understand why they put this covering up and quit bickering about equality from it

<<< If we are Sikhs, and we respect each other, what harm is there in public bathing? >>>>

You gotta be kidding right?

In puratan times bibbis would do “chund” and keep themselves covered for "modesty", how times are changed where people advocate public bathing. There is trouble enough in gurdwaras with people eying each other up and to be honest with you most bibies I am sure would much rather bathe in privacy anyway.

I don't understand why women cover themselves for modesty, and men don't have to. Women cover themselves so that men don't feel an unwanted attraction to them. Shouldn't men be doing this too, as women CAN have such feelings as well? Honestly, I think that there are only two ways of solving the problem: either both men AND women get bathing houses, or NONE of them do. This is the way it's been solved in the past, in places such as Ancient Rome, or even modern Japan.

Once again, I agree that this is a useless topic, but I want a proper conclusion before I move on!

The proper conclusion is : Now in society men are just sperm donors and take off or mistreat there spouse. Women are the mothers that raise the boys and they as mothers dont look a men like men look at women{yes there would have to be a tiny percentage but they would be teenagers and not older women} Men tend to be extremely stupid when a woman is involved, they trip over their own tongue while women have dignity in things that men in general dont.

Thank You so much, Pritam Singh Khalsa, I sort of understand your point. One thing, and you don't have to answer, why are generalizations like that of all men being woman lovers and sperm-donors made so often? If the gurus' intention was to make the world and its people better, will such a goal ever be accomplished, or will men ALWAYS be evil and women always be GOOD? I personally have faith in the human race.

Thank You!
