Hi

I'm trying to find somewhere that sells bandana style patka...the one with strings on them?

Does anyone know where to get them from in the UK?

Can anyone let me know? I'd be grateful!!

i've neva seen any in da shops but people usually cut them out of the same material as a dastar.

But why not keep to the dastar? wink2.gif I've tried it, its quite easy and thats saying something cos im a girl! :TH:

If you play sports, it might come off? :umm: ))))

I wear a dastaar always. But my parents are just getting used to me wearing the dastaar and becoming a SIkh so I was trying to ease it in with them via a patka.

I've got it sorted anyway.

Bye the way, I came across this guy selling them on ebay.co.uk.

It's funny, cause he charged only 99pence for them, but £4.99 postage. SO i was like, OK...it's gota be some mega superfast parcel service.

LOL, it turned out to be a normal 1st class stamp....I mean, what a rip-off!!!

Oh well.

For the future brother, just use any of your fathers/uncle/tayas/chachas/friends/etc. dastaar that you like, including colour preference, and cut it into squares. Just make sure it big enough, you can use your current patka and use that for help, and you are set to go, if you need daniya (strings), than just get your bibi to sew them on. :umm:

Easy, Cheap, Homemade, and Protective. :TH:
