Akand Paath...

Just a thought...

Normally an Akand Paath goes on for 3 days...

Has anyone thought about doing an Akand Paath Kirtan style?... Where all the angs of Guru Ji are not read, but sung??

It would take more than 3 days, but that way sangat would actually be participating in the Akand Paath and not just mutha teeking, eating parshad and going...

Any thoughts??...

Every single time someone recites from the Guru Granth it should be sung not read. Sri Guru Granth Sahib is in Raag but not everyone Sings the raag that the shabad is in.

Every Granthi should sing in raag

ok.... I meant actually PRACTICALLY doing it... with vaja and tabla (not forgetting the shernai))!!!

Speaking to someone they said it would take about 11 days to do?!?

Its never been done, how about the UK be the first???.... (hint... hint... organisers!!)

Hopefully Sangat in the U.S will do it first. It would be really Awesome. I bet It would be very powerful, more powerful than any other Samagam. :TH:

Yeah it would be SO good as it would get the WHOLE of the sanagt reciting Maharaj Ji...

We should organize a world wide Akhand Paath. Meaning, on lets say Nov. 1st every Gurdwara at a certain time start an Akhand Paath, but all start at the sametime but in their timezone the time would be different.Some would start at night some during the day but the world would all start on the same ang at the same time. Then at every Gurdwara in the world ang by ang Akhand Paaths would happen with all the world basically on the same angs.
