Ok lets ask this simply..

What is the practical use of injections?

The practical use of injections is to immunise the body against infections etc.

What is the practical use of tattooing? ..er..

Kapeesh?

i m just saying we should stop joining everything with sikhism .... if u dont have tatto that will not make u a good sikh .... if u have tatto that will not make u bad sikh ....

i dont quite understand - Does that mean we should have two lives? 1 linked to Sikhi and the other not linked to Sikhi?

Ive noticed that a lot of People in India have a tatoo on their hands, showing EK-OU-AN-KAAR. I asked one person why did they do it, the reply shocked me, he goes its a sign of who is a jatt. :@ I wanted to smack him across the face when i heard him say that.

The people who get Ek-OU-AN-KAAR tattooed onto there hands are mooraks, the hand has gurbani on it yet you use it to wipe your arse.

As for this topic, whats the point stating it, all you are doing is judging someone else, what gives any of us the right to judge someone elses actions, were not all innocent and saintly.

bhajji as u said u wanted to hit him but u didnt why ????

lol @ hand and wiping connection ..... bhajji maffi but its also the same hand with which u hold a gutka and do path and wipe with same hand .....

ek oan kaar will not make your hand untouchable ....

bhajji maffi but what i m trying to say is not that injections are good or bad but every one who tries to link to subjects tatto and sikhism say tattos are made by needle which punctures are body hence we are tampering with our body ehich is not allowed in sikhism ..... what u call it in english piercing some thing like this .... i m just saying injections also do the same .... then why same sikhs dont ques about needle of injections ....

i just said there is no link between tattos and sikhism .... tattos will not effect u as a sikh but yes it will enhance your soldier part of sikhism ....

hmm i wasnt going to comment on this post, but i feel you are giving the sangat wrong information. Tatoos, are a big NO NO in sikhi. in what way will a tatoo enhance ''your soldier part of sikhism'' @

There is no point to it, you have your panj kakars, they give the identity of khalsa, you dont need some mark on your hand to show everyone who you are?

Why would you get a tatoo? It is a permenant mark on your body. Our bodies are false its the soul what counts. WE need to write the naam of mahraj on our hearts. We need to japp naam with every breath, our body is simply a house for our soul. Mahraj knows everything, he knows all about you, why have a mark on your hand to show others.

We need injections, to prevent us from gettin ill, it has a purpose, unlike tatoos.

Paaji, i understand you have a tatoo, on your hand, and thats your decision, but please dont justify your actions by sayin it help in your sikhi, as you are giving out the wrong message.

Forget all these useless activites!!

japp naam!!!

vahiguroooo pray.gif

forgive me if i have said anythink wrong blush.gif

bhajji i agree with you 101 % ... tattos will not do any thing to enhance sikhism .... but what will it do to reduce sikhism ?????

i know many amritdhari sikhs with tattos will they all go to nark ????

tottos are big no in sikhi .... .... how ???? if tottos are shown red signal injections should also be .... beacuse they both are injected ... as injections do good they are allowed and tattos do nothing they are not allowed ....

bhajji moral of the story is ..... tattos are neither good nor bad .... they have nothing to do with sprirtuality ...

You still seem to conveniently ignore the fact that injections have a practical use! o veerji Sikhi is all about being practical as well! Each kakar has practical value in life - What practical use does a tatoo have?

Why dont u answer that? Tattoos dont do nothing.. they can do harm - higher risks of skin cancer etc.

How can a tatoo make u a better soldier? lol does it give you beer ras or summin?

so what if she's got a tatoo?? whats it gotta do with you???

She'll realise one day that she showed bad judgement n see how stupid she's been.... let people learn from their own mistakes but give your opinion when the person in question asks you for it

There's no point in gettin ur knickers in a twist when she's already gone n got a tatoo lol

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
