but if u are punished for a thousand+ years for every thought man...........i knw all my friends and then even me...are goin down for 1500 to the power of a million...
having thoughts is one thing, buh actually cultivating those thoughts and acting upon it is other. i dont think there is any kaam sawad(taste) in thoughts, its the act guruji is talking about. also, dont go on numbers, the numbers here mean nothing. if say, hey man i've told you a 100 times, that doesn't mean i've actually told you EXACTLY 100 times. :D

It is the thoughts tht lead to actions. getting those thoughts itself qualifies as kaam.

lets do this then after we have had children lets gt out our bits surgically removed, so that we cant get aroused by our partners! For gods sak, kaam is when you adulture not when you watch porn, nothing wrog with it,it relieves you from sexua tension and stops you from being randy. If the akj had controle over sikhi then sex even within a marriage appart for the reason for making babies would be condemned!

i see what you are saying BUT a mere thought by itself has no power if one doesn't act upon it :D thoughts will come and go, this mind is always manufacturing something but the challange is not to listen to it :D thats the whole game, if one can do that with guru kirpa then we set :TH:

and way to put your point across vikramjeet rolleyes.gif its relieves tension you say, murders say the same thing when it comes to anger rolleyes.gif

Don't think you read my post:

ਸੁਪਨੈ ਬਿੰਦੁ ਨ ਦੇਈ ਝਰਨਾ ॥

सुपनै बिंदु न देई झरना ॥

supnai bind na day-ee jharnaa.

He does not lose his semen, even in his dreams;

Spilling seed needlessly is wrong.

Sex is required only for reproduction.

Kaam = lust. When you watch porn, you are lusting over the woman - doing her etc.

When you have reached the pinnacle of Sikhi, you have complete control over your actions, including lustful thoughts. At that stage, nothing can arouse you no matter what is tried, unless you will it so.

there is a very similar thread on another forum with many informative and inspiring replies. please read through it - http://forums.waheguroo.com/Kaam-Eating-Me-Alive-t16593.html

i found the posts by gurjeet_kaur (2nd one) and guru ji's soulja most helpful.

also jio please ignore what 'nihung vikramdeep singh' says. that's all blatantly manmat. i have no words to express my disgust to that.

One point which the 'Nihung' raised, I would like the sangat's views on it. He asked what are the sangat's views on sex within a marriage where there is no intention for reproduction. Wouldn't this be classed as kaam because you are lusting after your wife with no intention of having a child.

I would like to hear the sangat's view on this.

I dont think sangat is going to answer this. Most of the people here are unmarried. you could go and ask this question from a true gursikh couple u'll get the perfect answer.

or

You yourself will find the answer to this insignificant question whn you are married and lead a gursikh jeevan :TH: .

ps: i won't recommend the first option tongue.gif and i dont think anyone would inquire about a trivial matter from a gursikh couple. I would rather learn more imp thgs from them :D

My views:

Two souls merge together to help eachother's Sikhi in marriage. Having kaami feelings for eachother and having sex for the pleasure won't help in Sikhi huna.

The thing is, people think before marraige is hard. But within the marriage, sex is accepted within the boundaries of society. So basically, no-one would be stopping you. Only your concious.. This is where the real battle of mind begins.

Gursikhs will realise that this moment of pleasure leads to nothing other than more desire - Just using the partner as a means of quenching desire - like some toy. However, performing it for procreation purposes is when there is a special bond between two bodies and one soul.

By the way, I'm not "akj" nor a "militant".
