Also i dont agee with this whole trend penji and bhaaji business between youths, call each other penji or paaji only if you mean it , dont do uparo uparo(outside), say it if you mean it have enuf juice in your gut to stand by being bhaaji or peenji , act like one... i know loads of cases where singhs and singhanis call each other by penji and bhaaji, ending up marrying each other in later time
You are right
i jus had a small question boutty hat whiole marryin ur sioster thing. I thought we were suppposed to think of all gurls as sisters? So in the end... wont we wend up marryin 1 any ways :)
You are also right

So whats the solution? Well, don't think bad about him/her. Instead of merely calling him/her as veerjee/penji, feel about him/her that way from inside. How? Don't have evil thoughts about him/her at all, so that tomorrow if you end up being veerjee/bhenji, it won't disappoint you (although its very nasty if you get disappointed by a bibi calling you veerjee) as you never had evil thoughts about her. And don't have evil thoughts about him/her, so that tomorrow if you end up being husband-wife, you will still be ok with it as you both never had the "veer/bhen" thing going on anyways. Feeling nothing is more important than calling anything.

The key is to treat and look upon other Singhs/Singhnees as veer/bhen. Merely calling them so isn't the real deal. Both Namastang and Ramneet Singh are right in their own context. Sometimes you call someone as something but it turns into something else. And sometimes you don't call them anything else, yet it turns into something else. Who knows what Gurujee's bhana is! Best is to leave our matrimonial affairs to Him!

Ok, it has been said over and over again BUT has it had any major effect? You still see people POW about!!!

Its like telling a child not to do something, u need to tell them over and over again before they understand and i think its the same in this scenario......we tell people not to flirt but do they listen/stop?

the point is, these people have been told already, they know its wrong, theyre not babies, if they want to carry on doing such actions they will, regardless of posts or emails.

Why interfere with other people business? Hey that life what are you doing to do about it? I agree with baba amerjeet

I aint going to do anything, it's all in the hands of Vaheguru! Pwalla has posted what he feels is right. Everyone have different views but as Gursikhs we need to accept what other believe and concentrate on ourself.

waheguruji ka khalsa waheugurji ki fateh jio

well i think the main thing is to NOT to have the kaam feelings in ourselves....b'coz calling sum1 or not calling sum1 as penji or veerji doesn't make a difference as much as your effort in stopping these feelings does......due to the human hormones these feelings are quite natural...........the thing is to make effort by reciting the naam...........

i m a moorakh ................i dunno anything jio

but pleez just don't be angry if you don't like the views i just gave ............i mean like you people tend to just attack the other if you do not agree ..........erm well, sorry if anything oversaid ji

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
