Wow, some of these people are crazy... lol.

No filter can be 100% successful to remove contaminants, although they try. So bottled water was originally ice, (no bacterial growth), then it turns into cold water (slow bacterial growth). However, once bottled, its often kept @ room temperature, where bacteria can grow relatively fast.

So a best before date is probably for that reason.

my guess is the plastic bottle cuz then all hormones and chemical stuff start leaking into the pani and also i think it applies 2 once the bottle has been opened.. its not "fresh" anymore and it'll get stagnant..cuz it not in a free flowin stream/spring anymore.

Do Plastic Bottles have Hormones?

I know Hormone Imblance can effect sleep and make people more Promiscuous in thier nature, so to combat such behaviour should we be avioding Plastic? Like Plastic containing Food?

well plastic bottles dont have hormones loll i guess i put it wrong, but i heard and also read in a book that foods in plastic - the chemicals leak into the food and i dont know if they are actually hormones or they cause some reaction in the body causing a hormonal imbalance.

tap water has chlorine or sometimes other small amounts of chemicals put in it by the water walay, so that bacteria wont grow in it or harmful bacteria gets killed. but bottled water doesnt have that chlorine in, so it ok while it is sealed and its pure filtered water, once the seal breaks bacteria from surroundings will get in and will flourish in it because theres no chemical to kill it, so thats why you should drink your water by the same day or next day. tap water is just as good, if not better. most new houses have the fresh water pipe going first to the kitchen, because thats where we use water to drink and cook, then the pipes go around the house, so u shud find out whether your bathroom sink tap is ok to drink from and not from a water tank or nething, even though itl be ok to drink, the chlorine is so little, its meant to be so that the water will be safe enough to reach the house and not be effective for several days, as may be the case in a house with a tank. ................... thats wat we were told at uni :)

buttttttttt back to the topic

the reason for the sell by date is because the water is in plastic bottles which will make it unsafe to drink after a 'long' period of time, as the chemicals used to make the plastic 'get' into the water aswell.
