no dont go - if your mate known you for bout 20 years he'll understand that Sikhism aint into cutting Kes...you respect his Dharm and he respects yours - jus go to his house after and give congratz for what ever this occasion thing is....

Thank you for all your wisdom and advice. With Gurus Kirpa I missed the whole thing thanks to my baby boy (a true gift from waheguru). I did have a word with my mate and why he had done this to his son and he did not know, he was going with tradition and what he parents had told him to do.

I did not rejoice and to tell you the truth neither did the father, he had to watch his son cry while getting his hair cut for a reason most of them there did not understand.

This sent a very clear message to me and my family, do not follow like sheep’s and question everything if it does not have anything to do with waheguru then it cannot be right!

In the end we left the Mandir with out eating the langer because the person that was making it was eating it at the same time, when my dad saw this he started kicking off with the guy in charge and the guy that was eating and cooking. So if anyone does go to the Mandir (or any place) be careful on what is happening around you.

SIngh Ji,

I think you should go to your freinds ceremony. even though i had never gone to a temple, but i think we should respect every religion. If your friend can come to gurudwara on your request thenu should also respect his feelings. Its not important what other sikhs will think about you, but more important is that what your hindu friend will think about you. if u don't go there , it will hurt him a lot. and, afterall u r not going to worship idols.

my best friend asked to a celebration of his son.................

they first get a young lamb and skin it alive (so its blood doesent spoil the fur)

YES skin it alive .......... its all in their religion .

then they sit around and see the animal suffer and eventuall die in pain and suffering..

its his religion .
