I think a large component of freedom is the ability to have your own destiny in your own hands without some oppressive force stifling you. But then this could be your parents or wife so, I think my definition may be a bit crap.

dude u ought to talk about a deep philosophical concept because freedom is something that we never had and thas the only reason we never recognized its real sene ......... perhaps its a full journey in gurmat from grade first uptill the braham gyaan .... its totally beyond the reach of our mind and brain ..... totally hard concept to grab ......
