Important point made - it's not for us to say who has done something wrong in their past karams or not. Every illness and wound has its own story to tell. This post isn't directed at you personally Jassa Veerji :umm: .

Example: We see someone with one eye and think, they must have done something wrong in their past lives.

But if they have, their good karams might have meant only an eye was lost instead of both eyes and a limb. We don't know for sure.

Going off topic here, but try telling the people who lost their homes in New Orleans that they did something wrong in their past life and are now paying for it.

Sorry for the randomness.

Just nicked an english version of rehitmaryada from southall gurdwara (hehe) and theres this bit that goes:

The five beloved ones who administer ambrosial baptism should not include a disabled person, such as a person who is blind or blind in one eye, lame, one with a broken or disabled limb, or one suffering from some chronic disease. The number should not include a breach of the Sikh discipline and principles. All of them should be committed baptised Sikhs with appealing personalities.

now thats news to me :umm:

soo what happens to someone who is committed baptised Sikh but with shady appearence tongue.gif
