It will be fair to say that No pictures should be put inside the main diwan hall (where guru ji lives whether its gurdwara sahib or baba jees room in our homes).. Putting pictures in your room/library etc.. is fine but diwan hall shud stay untouched..

The name Punjab is absolutely fine because that is How the world knows it...according to the logic that you are providing ova here...the names of half the historical figures and Monuments would not remain the same.

Everything today is result of what was there yesterday. Taj Mahal was also Moghul and was bulit for Selfish Means ....does that mean we change its name too.

Most of the Historical Articles will not hold any good sense for calling them what they were called earlier .....does that mean we change all their names.

The name holds so much magnitude for the State..

If you really wish to change something ......change the state of the state.

Children absued by Smack...inhabitants flocking to US/UK/CANADA/Nywhere other than their own homeland ...Hardly anyone doing anything for the Panth.

Everyone engrossed in their individual materialistic world. No real Sports personality coming up from there. Dunno wass gone wrong.

The biggest worry of all ...SIKHI IS SUFFERING. Acording to stats even today : 60% of the sikh population still lives in Punjab...but the Sikhi that I see there is Pathetic and pityful

I personally think it is wrong to have a picture of anyone in the baja Ji since our only focus should be on Guru Ji and how wonderful Guru Ji is. Its also disrespectful because its like praising the shaheeds. It shows that the shaheeds did the good deed when really Guru Ji did it through them. Its like putting the shaheed Singh on the same status as Guru Sahib. By doing that your not treating Guru Ji as our living Guru.

In our Gurdwara, they have pics of Shaheeds in teh Diwan Hall. For me, they remind me of what Sikhs had to go through because they would not give up their faith and their belief in the Guru. It helps me concentrate when trying to do paat and reminds me to constantly wage war whether it be physical, mental or spiritual.

Pictures are pictures. As long as Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee is kept higher; there is nothing wrong with it.
