thats from a rehitnama. personally, i dont think rehatnama's are hard and fast rules BUT they do help. if we look at history, mostly they were issued by influential gursikhs in times of dire need. so they might be talking about a specific context which seems have gotten lost. and we all what can happen when things get taken outta context.

actually there are alot of health benifits from taking cold showers, lolll just cos we come froma punjabi back ground doesnt mean were all stingy........

just begin with warm n turn it to cold gradually, it wont be such a shock that way
