Also, what kind of kapra are you using? it's harder to start out with softer material if your hand isn't used to tying yet.

also, tie a small cloth or a small keski underneath, cloth tends to slip off from bare hair

u may be tieing your joora too far back, tie slightly forward, have it exactly on ur dasam duar, also try tieing a boonga underneath.

Yh seen dis happen many times. Lolz

i cant imagine how a dastaar wud stay on without a keski. Like people hav sed b4 doing a keski is extremely helpful, as it wud prevent yr dastaar from slipping off and wud strengthen yr joora . also make sure yr joora is at the centre , so u can tie a gd keski around it.

I think a gd keski is the key to a gd dastaar.

Check these vids out, u may find them helpful

Jus keep practising :TH:

msot of the time it depends on how well u have tied your keski , because then your dastaar that is going over the keski is going to folow the shape of the keski, so... if your keski is mashed or out of shape most of the time so will be your dastaar over your keski.

its just round, gol dastaar

dunno it is a soft material, called rubia or something??

yeah i do tie a keski but tht always moves anyway coz my hair is slippery (not from oil lol)

i always do the joora at the front of my head, havent tried a boonga coz im scared its gonna rip my kesh out n im gonna go bald from the front lol i bin told it hurts like crazyyyy aswell

yeah my keski is usually really dodgy, its not big enough and i cant get another one

the problem is prob somethng to do with my keski right? i always tie it majorly tight but it goes really loose again after abt 5 mins. and wont stay put, gradually gets higher n higher.

the edge is never even aswell, like how do you get the first larh to be symmetrical, i always look like ive got one eyebrow raised when its higher on one side n goes really low on the other,.

how long did it take everyone here to tie a dastaar properly without help?? (so its accetable n neat enough to wear in public)

Don't use RUBIA. Use FULL VAIL instead.

Desi method: sprinkle some water on the dastar before you start tying. It should help.

Happy Dastar Sa-jaa-ying
